For a baby boy do you like the spelling [name]ECKO[/name] or [name]ECHO[/name]?![]()
All the young teenagers in my town tend to tease the kids who wear [name]Ecko[/name] brand clothing⌠I can only imagine what they would do if the child was actually named [name]Ecko[/name].
I think [name]Echo[/name] is the better choice, though I think many people associate this name more with girls due to the nymph in Greek mythology. It could work on a boy.
[name]Echo[/name]. 10000%
[name]Echo[/name]. Since the name is also a word, it would be nice if you used the actual spelling.
I like [name]Echo[/name] for a girl, [name]Ecko[/name]/Eko for a boy.
[name]Echo[/name]. Definitely. Word names are unisex in and of themselves, so you donât need to change the spelling to make it more gender specific. The unfortunate thing about [name]Ecko[/name] is that it looks like gecko, which could cause all sorts of unnecessary teasing and Geico comments. [name]Echo[/name] is a striking, evocative, unusual choice, and it loses a lot of its charm when it is âtrendifiedâ with the K.
Another votre for [name]Echo[/name].
[name]Echo[/name], hands down. I prefer it on a girl, because of the nymph, but itâs fine on a boy.
[name]Ecko[/name], [name]Echo[/name] was a nymph that [name]Zeus[/name] fell in love with so imo itâs very feminine
edit: I canât recall the myth correctly, maybe [name]Zeus[/name] was just involved with her and she fell in love with [name]Narcissus[/name], either way [name]Echo[/name] is depicted in many works of art so itâs hard to imagine it on a boy.
[name]Echo[/name] was a female nymph who fell in love with [name]Narcissus[/name] but he was too preoccupied with himself to love her back so (in my preferred version of the myth)she hid herself away in a cave from grief and faded away until the only thing left of her was an echo.
In other words, to me, since this is my religion, [name]Echo[/name] is strictly a girls name.
That being said, as a word also, it could be a boys name, but either way (boy or girl) I think it works better in the middle. [name]Echo[/name] is the better spelling by far.
Im not a huge fan of [name]Echo[/name]/Eko as a first name. I dont particularly like the sound of the word and I also associate is with being feminine like @Dantea said it was a female nymphâŚ
Maybe use it in the middle and FOR SURE spell it [name]Echo[/name]!

[name]Echo[/name], definitely. My first though, was gecko, with the âkâ. I prefer it on a girl, but I think it can work on a boy, as well.
