I am expecting two twin girls- and we have decided on one- [name_u]Eden[/name_u]. But we are stuck on a middle and a name for the other twin.
I totally have no ideas for a middle for [name_u]Eden[/name_u], nothing is good, but for the twin I have:
[name_u]Remi[/name_u] (I like it more as a nn)
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] (nn: [name_f]Lilly[/name_f])
[name_u]Alex[/name_u] (Again, more as a nn)
[name_f]Thea[/name_f]
[name_f]Neve[/name_f] or [name_f]Niamh[/name_f]
[name_f]Natalia[/name_f]
I love [name_f]Thea[/name_f] with [name_u]Eden[/name_u]. I like that [name_f]Natalia[/name_f] has different sounds and syllable counts than [name_u]Eden[/name_u] because I think it’s nice for twins to have names that go well together but are not matchy. I like [name_f]Neve[/name_f] too.
If you’ve chosen [name_u]Eden[/name_u] for its biblical nature perhaps you’d like a name also associated with the bible or even the garden of [name_u]Eden[/name_u] (I.e. A garden/flower name, or more literally a name used in the tale)…
Tale:
[name_f]Apple[/name_f]
[name_f]Eve[/name_f]/[name_f]Evie[/name_f]
[name_f]Addy[/name_f] (instead of [name_m]Adam[/name_m])
[name_u]Arden[/name_u] (Hebrew for Garden of [name_u]Eden[/name_u])
[name_f]Nevaeh[/name_f]/[name_f]Neve[/name_f]
Garden:
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilly[/name_f]
(Any flower name you like)
Or, just if you like names that same good together:
[name_f]Ellie[/name_f]/[name_f]Ella[/name_f]
[name_f]Isla[/name_f]
[name_f]Eva[/name_f]
[name_f]Ava[/name_f]
[name_f]Esther[/name_f]
[name_f]Agnes[/name_f]/[name_f]Aggie[/name_f]
[name_u]Ariel[/name_u]
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f]
[name_f]Astrid[/name_f]
I love [name_f]Lola[/name_f] and [name_f]Alexa[/name_f] with [name_u]Eden[/name_u]. I also think [name_u]Eden[/name_u] [name_f]Alexa[/name_f] is a nice combo.
I like [name_f]Neve[/name_f] and [name_f]Natalia[/name_f] best out of your list.
Here are some other options:
[name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Accalia[/name_f]
[name_f]Patricia[/name_f] [name_f]Virtue[/name_f]
[name_u]Eden[/name_u] and [name_f]Thea[/name_f] are two of my top 5 girls’ names! I’m not sure if I would want to use them on twins though, they’re forever going to referred to as [name_u]Eden[/name_u] and ____, and they both have pretty prominent E sounds. They’re not too matchy though, that’s just something I would worry about. I haven’t quite landed on a middle for either, sorry.
I like [name_u]Eden[/name_u] and [name_f]Natalia[/name_f] best. My sisters are twins and they have names that, to me, match too much (they both end in “lyn” and it gives a cartoon-ey vibe. I like that [name_u]Eden[/name_u] and [name_f]Natalia[/name_f] have different sounds and syllable counts but still sound very nice together.
For middle names, maybe your mother and mother in-law’s names? Or your name as a middle name for one twin and the feminine version of their father’s name for the other.
OR combine the names you like:
[name_u]Eden[/name_u] [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f]
[name_f]Natalia[/name_f] [name_f]Neve[/name_f]
[name_f]Stella[/name_f] or [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]
That would make [name_u]Eden[/name_u] an earthly name and [name_f]Stella[/name_f] a celestial name. [name_u]Eden[/name_u] and [name_f]Stella[/name_f].
[name_f]Estella[/name_f] also means “star”, if you like that and would give you the sort of twin name play; [name_u]Eden[/name_u] and [name_f]Estella[/name_f] (though I personally prefer [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] much more. [name_u]Eden[/name_u] and [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]).
