I love [name]Phoebe[/name], perky without being cutesy, classic and a good fit.
[name]Maude[/name] I quite admire, such an old strong name, but its a bit brave for me. It has a lot of old lady baggage left to shed, way more than such newly-cute retro names like [name]Hazel[/name] or [name]Mae[/name] or [name]Olive[/name].
[name]Olive[/name] is one of the ones that’s back. I do like it, but I don’t love it.
I like [name]Olive[/name]. I’d lean towards [name]Maeve[/name] or [name]Mauve[/name] before I’d go with [name]Maude[/name], though. Great choices - happy picking!
I think [name]Willa[/name] and [name]Cora[/name] pair off nicely so I’m going to rate the names according to which one I think goes best with [name]Sybil[/name].
[name]Every[/name] one of your names (including your boy’s) is a favorite of mine. I’m especially partial to [name]Edith[/name] ([name]Edie[/name]), as that’s what we plan to name our daughter.
With a [name]Cora[/name] and [name]Sybil[/name], I’d steer clear of [name]Edith[/name]. People are going to think you chose all your names off the Downton [name]Abbey[/name] script! I also think [name]Frances[/name] is a little too heavy with your other names. [name]Maude[/name] is probably my favorite for you, but I also love [name]Phoebe[/name]. I like that while [name]Willa[/name] and [name]Cora[/name] share the “a”, [name]Sybil[/name] and [name]Phoebe[/name] both have very prominent "b"s. [name]Olive[/name] is nice, but [name]Cora[/name], [name]Hugo[/name] and [name]Olive[/name] is a whole lotta O.
[name]Man[/name], you have great taste! I love all of these so much and they all go well together. [name]Frances[/name] would be my first choice, followed by [name]Edith[/name].
Haha, what a fantastic list you have! I think I like [name]Olive[/name] or [name]Edith[/name] best with [name]Willa[/name], [name]Cora[/name] and [name]Sybil[/name].
[name]Edith[/name] and [name]Phoebe[/name] are my favorites! I also have respect for [name]Frances[/name]. [name]Maude[/name] and [name]Olive[/name] I’m not particularly fond of but nothing wrong with either.
[name]Maude[/name] is so perfect! I love it! [name]Frances[/name] is great too but it doesn’t make me smile the way [name]Maude[/name] does…
[name]Maude[/name] [name]Frances[/name] works for me!
I love [name]Edith[/name] with your names. I think that it has the same quality of being charming, clunky and vinatge. It’d also go very well with the boys name [name]Hugo[/name], should you ever get the chance to use it. [name]One[/name] person mentioned that should you use [name]Edith[/name], everyone would think of Downton [name]Abbey[/name], but as even though I’m a huge fan of the show, it didn’t really occur to me until it was mentioned. I think [name]Edith[/name] would be a fantastic name choice.
I hope that helps!
Thank you ladies! I’m so happy to see our list is getting positive reviews.
As for the Downton dilemma, [name]Cora[/name] and [name]Sybil[/name] were both named before anyone (at least here in the US) had heard of the show, and [name]Edith[/name] has been on our list for years. So it’s purely coincidental. I guess that just confirms that they go well together though. Ha. I’m not sure how we feel about using [name]Edith[/name]. We love the name, so on the one hand I don’t think that it should matter. In fact, my husband thinks it’s kind of fun (and funny). But on the other hand, it is a bit strange. Something else to think about. I’ve never seen the show (not much time for TV around here) but I am looking forward to watching it on maternity leave.
I love [name]Willa[/name], [name]Cora[/name] and [name]Sybil[/name] and your entire name list! My favorite with your others girls (and with [name]Hugo[/name]) is [name]Olive[/name], but [name]Maude[/name], [name]Frances[/name] and [name]Edith[/name] are so great, too, that it’s hard to choose! [name]Phoebe[/name] is my least favorite with your other names - it’s a great name but seems to fit least to me.
