All growing up, I’d always thought my grandmother’s name, [name]Edith[/name], seemed ridiculously outdated and like she must have been born 70 years old. But all of a sudden [name]Edith[/name] doesn’t seem so dusty anymore. Maybe its the popularity of Downton [name]Abbey[/name] and seeing Lady [name]Edith[/name]'s character as a young woman instead of a grandmother.
What are your thoughts on [name]Edith[/name]? Would you use it as a first name or a middle name? Right now our top fn choice is [name]Annabelle[/name], so what about [name]Annabelle[/name] [name]Edith[/name]?
I prefer the no-nonsense, vintage [name]Edith[/name] to the more frilly [name]Annabelle[/name] but that’s just me. [name]Edith[/name] [name]Annabelle[/name] would be my choice for a combo. I love the nn [name]Edie[/name].
I think it works as a classic name. They really are becoming refreshed. [name]Edie[/name] is a cute and spunky nn as well. [name]Annabelle[/name] [name]Edith[/name] is nice!
I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Edith[/name]! I think it’s sweet and charming and as [name]Mischa[/name] described - no-nonsense, which is actually not my general style, but I find it very chic.
I think [name]Edith[/name] is adorable. Very sweet and classy. I prefer the flow of [name]Edith[/name] [name]Annabelle[/name] but I would use them both as FNs if I were you, they would make adorable sisters
I love [name]Edith[/name]! [name]Both[/name] as a FN and a MN. I think [name]Annabelle[/name] [name]Edith[/name] would be lovely. I think [name]Annabel[/name] [name]Edith[/name] would be a little bit more streamlined, but I like that the frillier [name]Annabelle[/name] spelling balances out the vintage charm of [name]Edith[/name]. But I just really love the pairing in general–I think [name]Annabel/name and [name]Edith[/name] are great together!
