Edward's twin (narrowing down options!)

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] berries!

I so appreciated your input when I first posted a few weeks ago. We’re now less than 4 weeks from our twin boys arrival, so need to have a the names ready asap in case they arrive early. One will definitely be [name_m]Edward[/name_m] (family name), we’ll call him [name_m]Eddie[/name_m].

For his brother, I am partial to [name_m]Simon[/name_m] and dh prefers [name_u]Dean[/name_u] (he loves the nn [name_m]Dino[/name_m]/Deano).

I also am having a hard time moving off of [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] - [name_m]Eddie[/name_m] and [name_u]Theo[/name_u]. BUT since [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] is also a nn for [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], they could potentially be [name_m]Eddie[/name_m] and [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] - YIKES, not what I am after.

Thoughts? Or any other suggestions we should consider?

Thank you so much!

Congrats! A few suggestions with nicknames not ending in “ie” …

[name_m]Desmond[/name_m] - [name_m]Dez[/name_m]
[name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] - [name_u]Dash[/name_u]
[name_m]Abram[/name_m] - [name_m]Abe[/name_m], [name_m]Bram[/name_m]
[name_m]Henry[/name_m] - [name_m]Hank[/name_m]
[name_m]Harold[/name_m] - [name_m]Hal[/name_m]
[name_u]Dexter[/name_u] -[name_m]Dex[/name_m]
[name_m]Augustus[/name_m] - [name_u]Gus[/name_u]
[name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] - [name_u]Nat[/name_u]
[name_m]Samuel[/name_m] - [name_u]Sam[/name_u]
[name_m]Calvin[/name_m] - [name_u]Cal[/name_u]
[name_m]Walter[/name_m] - [name_m]Walt[/name_m]
[name_u]Michael[/name_u] - [name_m]Mick[/name_m]

Good luck!

I like [name_m]Simon[/name_m] more then dean or theodore

Whose family is [name_m]Edward[/name_m] named after? I think the other parent should get to pick the second name (except if there is a veto, of course). Anyway, all of your choices are very nice, though [name_u]Dean[/name_u] seems really out of place with [name_m]Edward[/name_m], which is like the classic to end all classics. [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] nn [name_u]Danny[/name_u] or Danno might work?

[name_m]Edward[/name_m] and [name_m]Cabot[/name_m]
[name_m]Edward[/name_m] and [name_m]Henri[/name_m]
[name_m]Edward[/name_m] and [name_u]Antoine[/name_u]
[name_m]Edward[/name_m] and [name_m]Nikos[/name_m]
[name_m]Edward[/name_m] and [name_m]Philip[/name_m]
[name_m]Edward[/name_m] and [name_m]Dominic[/name_m]
[name_m]Edward[/name_m] and Ashford
[name_m]Edward[/name_m] and [name_u]Winslow[/name_u]
[name_m]Edward[/name_m] and [name_m]Louis[/name_m]

I love the set of [name_m]Edward[/name_m] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], it seems to be the most “equal”.
If you call [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], [name_u]Theo[/name_u], there won’t be a problem of [name_m]Eddie[/name_m] and [name_u]Teddy[/name_u], since [name_u]Theo[/name_u] is such an “intuitive” nickname already, people won’t be looking for a simpler one.
[name_m]Simon[/name_m] would be my second favourite.
[name_u]Dean[/name_u] doesn’t seem to fit with [name_m]Edward[/name_m].
The nn [name_m]Dino[/name_m] could be used regardless of the name as a cutesy nicknames (such as bunny, bug, bear, pumpkin).

[name_m]Simon[/name_m] and [name_m]Eddie[/name_m] is great.

I [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] [name_u]Theo[/name_u], and I don’t think ppl will call him [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] if he goes by [name_u]Theo[/name_u]. But it might still be weird to have 2 names that [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] is a nickname for.

[name_m]Eddie[/name_m] & [name_u]Cal[/name_u] is a good idea: [name_m]Caleb[/name_m], [name_m]Callahan[/name_m], [name_m]Callen[/name_m], [name_m]Callum[/name_m], [name_m]Calvin[/name_m]
[name_m]Eddie[/name_m] & [name_u]Nick[/name_u]/[name_u]Nico[/name_u]: [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m], [name_m]Nicolai[/name_m], [name_m]Dominic[/name_m]
[name_m]Eddie[/name_m] & [name_u]Van[/name_u] for [name_m]Donovan[/name_m]
[name_m]Eddie[/name_m] & [name_m]Bas[/name_m]/[name_m]Baz[/name_m]/[name_m]Bastien[/name_m]/[name_m]Seb[/name_m] for [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]
[name_m]Eddie[/name_m] & [name_u]Gus[/name_u] for [name_u]August[/name_u]/[name_m]Augustus[/name_m]
