Eleanor or Eleonore

Hello everyone! [name_f]My[/name_f] husband and I are expecting our first baby girl due to [name_u]November[/name_u] 26th.
We have several names on our list. [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] , [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] , [name_f]Annabella[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_u]Louise[/name_u] are on top.
We are struggling with [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]. I’m [name_u]French[/name_u] and we use more the [name_u]French[/name_u] version [name_f]Eleonore[/name_f].
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you think it would be a weird name to wear in the US? Thanks
Athénaïs

I personally prefer [name_f]Eleonore[/name_f] - and I don’t think it would be weird to wear at all (although I do love @anon68906791’s suggestion of [name_f]Leonore[/name_f])!
(I also absolutely love your name - Athénaïs has been a crush of mine forever!)

My favourite is [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] but I don’t think [name_f]Eleanore[/name_f] wouldn’t work in [name_f]English[/name_f] speaking countries I think the spelling could cause confusion but won’t overall be difficult.

I do like [name_f]Leonore[/name_f] it’s a beautiful name, I never think about it before, it may be a good alternative. A modern version of [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]/Eléonore.
And thank you so much for my name it’s a pretty rare name in [name_f]France[/name_f] and even more in the US but I like it

I think [name_f]Eleonore[/name_f] is pretty, but you would probably run into pronunciation issues in the United States. I agree with @anon68906791 about [name_f]Leonore[/name_f]!

You’d end up having to spell it for people but it’s beautiful.

I think [name_f]Eleanore[/name_f] would get the pronunciation you want

No E I’d say.

What beautiful name combinations you have. I love them all!

I don’t think using [name_f]Eleonore[/name_f] would be a problem.
