Elena alternative

[name_m]Hi[/name_m]!

So my husband is obsessed with the name [name_f]Elena[/name_f]. It was my favorite name for a good long while, too, but I feel like I’ve been hearing it a ton lately and it’s starting to make me sad. :frowning:

To further complicate my apprehension about the name, there are two other children named “[name_f]Elena[/name_f]” with different spellings close to our family. The people with the [name_f]Elena[/name_f]'s aren’t people that we personally see often, at all, but they are people we know and people who our loved ones have a lot of contact with, so we hear about their adventures often enough. This just makes me more leery of using the name for our own (hypothetical!) daughter.

So, berries, I turn to you. What names remind you of [name_f]Elena[/name_f]?

[name_f]Helen[/name_f] or [name_f]Helena[/name_f]. [name_f]Elena[/name_f] literally means [name_f]Helen[/name_f] in Spanish.
