Hello Berries. I have found another intriguing name. What are your thoughts on Eleuthera? Eleuthera is an island in the Bahamas. It’s name is apparently Greek and means freedom. I like that you could call a girl Leu Leu for short.
I don’t know if it’s the spelling or the sound but it sounds like a medication name
It is pretty heavy sounding. The lightest I can get it is by rolling my tongue slightly. æ-LOO-thra. Heaviest being [name_f]Elle[/name_f]-LOO-thuh-ruh.
I don’t think I mind it. I’m intrigued. But I’m not sure the sounds are appealing enough to win me over.
I like it in theory but I must admit that it is a bit hard for me to say. I would consider it a cool middle name option, especially if the island had special meaning.
[name_f]My[/name_f] first thought too…medication.
The Greek name is Eleutheria which means freedom. Eleuthera is a greek word which means free/freely. I don’t really like it, sounds quite heavy to me.
I feel like after the E and L all I can see is
Urethra, which isn’t something I would want to be associated or confused with.
