Elizabeth, Eloise, or Eleanor?

Which one do you prefer and why?

[name]Do[/name] you plan on calling her [name]Ellie[/name]? I think I prefer [name]Elizabeth[/name] or [name]Eleanor[/name]. [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Roosevelt[/name] rocked. [name]Elizabeth[/name] is a classic. [name]Eloise[/name] could be called weezy.

I think [name]Elizabeth[/name] is the most timeless, but [name]Eleanor[/name] and [name]Eloise[/name] are both classic as well. I would think that there might be more of the last two around at school and parks, for the next ten years, since those names are coming back into fashion big time.

I’m going to go for [name]Eleanor[/name]. I used to love [name]Eloise[/name] so much but it isn’t really doing much for me any more. I’ve been pretty consistent on [name]Eleanor[/name], though. I like it!
[name]Elizabeth[/name] isn’t a fave of mine, but I do like that it’s timeless.

[name]Eleanor[/name] is my favorite- it’s not very popular, but it’s pretty and classic. [name]Elizabeth[/name] is second, I feel it’s also pretty and classical, but I’m just a teeeeeeny bit tired of it.
[name]Eloise[/name] is my least favorite. I really prefer [name]Louisa[/name], and [name]Eloise[/name] is still running around the Plaza to me.
Are you going to be using the nickname [name]Ellie[/name]?

  • [name]Athena[/name]

My initial favorite is [name]Elizabeth[/name]. I think it is absolutely beautiful, lots of nn potential, but it went through a very popular phase which has turned me away from it. [name]Eloise[/name] seems like a really spunky girly name, but I have a feeling it is becoming popular as people are trying to find names like [name]Elizabeth[/name]. [name]Eleanor[/name] would probably be my favorite. Ages well with lots of nn potential. not as popular as the others. [name]Love[/name] it!

I love [name]Eleanor[/name]!

I always go back and forth between [name]Eloise[/name] and [name]Eleanor[/name]. [name]Both[/name] are on my favorites list. [name]Elizabeth[/name] is lovely, but I just prefer the other two (no particular reason.)

[name]Eleanor[/name]. With [name]Elizabeth[/name] as a close second. I’m not sure I could explain why, exactly, lol, I just really dislike [name]Eloise[/name], personally (it seems a tad overrated to me, but it is very classy and I do see the appeal). I love the classic European appeal of [name]Eleanor[/name], and it has a lot of great namesakes, like [name]Eleanor[/name] of [name]Aquitaine[/name] and [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Roosevelt[/name]. [name]Eleanor[/name] seems “prettier” than [name]Elizabeth[/name] to me, as well. And I just love how classic [name]Elizabeth[/name] is, and its nns (particularly [name]Ella[/name], [name]Eliza[/name], [name]Libby[/name], and [name]Izzy[/name]).

Good luck!

Hmm… Tough one! I feel like my answer is different for my own baby as opposed to someone else’s. I’d rather see [name]Eloise[/name] on someone else’s baby, but I think I would use [name]Elizabeth[/name] nn [name]Beth[/name] for my own. I can’t really say why I feel that way.

I want to avoid the nickname [name]Ellie[/name]/[name]Ella[/name] , so I also would love to hear all your nickname options for all three.

I like [name]Eloise[/name] a lot. I see her as the spunky little girl at the Plaza Hotel, but that’s also a downside. It seems a bit hard to mature into, in my opinion. So, in order, my favourites are: [name]Elizabeth[/name], [name]Eloise[/name], and [name]Eleanor[/name]. I think [name]Eleanor[/name] is on the verge of a breakthrough, so the timeless classic [name]Elizabeth[/name] wins for me.

[name]Eloise[/name].

[name]Eleanor[/name] is very plain. I think it’s in the [name]Martha[/name] category. It’s also having an upsurge in popularity, to make things worse.

[name]Elizabeth[/name] is timeless, but so are [name]Catherine[/name] and [name]Sarah[/name]. They’re all very boring and done-to-death, to my ears, but I know many people love them.

Can I choose [name]Eliza[/name] instead?

I personally love [name]Eloise[/name] the most out of the three. [name]Eleanor[/name] and [name]Elizabeth[/name] are very nice of course but I like [name]Eloise[/name] more.

Some nickname possibilities that I like are [name]Lulu[/name],[name]Elea[/name] and [name]Liza[/name] (I would pronounce like leeza). Of course they may be more boring to some but they are cute.

[name]Elizabeth[/name] is my fave, but I am biased as I have a little [name]Elizabeth[/name].
For nn we call her [name]Ella[/name] and [name]Liza[/name] and Z or [name]Zizi[/name] and sometimes [name]Izzy[/name] and [name]Bliss[/name] but mostly she is “[name]Elizabeth[/name]”.

I like [name]Elizabeth[/name] the best but I would spell it [name]Elisabeth[/name]. [name]Elizabeth[/name] is a classy, timeless and beautiful name.

I can’t decide between [name]Elizabeth[/name] and [name]Eleanor[/name]!!

~[name]Jasmine[/name]

Am firmly in the [name]Eleanor[/name]/[name]Elinor[/name] camp. The look and sound are what makes it for me. Inspite of its fab nn options, I really dislike [name]Elizabeth[/name], clunky and matronly and just ugly. Sorry all you [name]Elizabeth[/name] fans! And [name]Eloise[/name] should be nice but is a bit too trendy/trashy and also similar to the overused (in my generation at least - gosh I feel old!) [name]Louise[/name]. [name]How[/name] about adding [name]Elodie[/name] into the mix

[name]Eleanor[/name]!!!
