Elizabeth, Olivia, Leah, Phoebe, Anna

Thank you all for suggestions!

We finally come down to a shortlist of these names for our baby girl!

Wanted to hear which one you like more.

For our own preference, we would like the name to be A) Biblical B) Goes well with a single syllable surname and C) Can somehow match her brother’s name Benjamin.

Thank you all!

Elizabeth, Olivia, Leah, Phoebe, Anne, Anna, Isabelle, Francesca

Phoebe!! [name_m]Bright[/name_m] and charming - shares the B of [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m], is Biblical, and works with a single syllable surname! And is a great name with a nice meaning

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.

Great list!

Here are my favorite to least favorite rankings:

Phoebe-This got my vote. It’s so bright & lovable. It’s a lesser known biblical name & it’s charming next to the beautiful [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m].

Elizabeth-This is just a solid classic. I like it,but I mainly like all of the nns. [name_f]Tess[/name_f] is my favorite, but it’s such a stretch I’m not even sure I’d do it. [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] & [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] feel more natural & are so cute.

Olivia-I think it’s a romantic & beautiful name (I love the nn Livy!), but it’s so over done that it’s kind of lost a little charm.

Leah-I like the sound of [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] more than [name_f]Leah[/name_f], but I almost put this ahead of [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], because it’s just a little more unique. It’s still heard plenty, but feels classic & less trendy. It’s sweet, simple, quiet & kind. Really nice with [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m].

Francesca-Is this biblical? I suppose it’s indirectly a saint name. It’s really pretty, but almost too fancy. I like the nns [name_f]Franny[/name_f] & [name_f]Francie[/name_f]. I like how this is less popular than some of your other choices.

Anna-It’s perfectly nice, just doesn’t sparkle & is heard often.

Anne-A bit bland sounding to me, but I do love the nn [name_f]Annie[/name_f].

Isabelle-I don’t dislike this name at all, even though it’s my least favorite from your list. It’s just kind of popular & I prefer [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] or [name_f]Isobel[/name_f]. I’m picky about spellings! [name_f]Izzy[/name_f] & Ibbi are adorable nn options though.

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] my rambling helps.

I’m favourite is [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]!

She’s regal, elegant, strong, has great biblical history, a range of fabulous nicknames and looks visually appealing.

[name_f]My[/name_f] technical favourite is [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f], I love that it sounds like it says Is-a-bell, ie “she is a bell” I find that really cute, might just be me.

That being said I voted for [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], it’s my second favourite on the list, but for a real child, [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] is just too popular. [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] is a strong & beautiful choice.

I voted for [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]! It is less expected, happy and bright.
I also adore [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f].

I suppose it depends on your definition of Biblical. Some of these are variants of Bible names (like [name_f]Anne[/name_f] and Isabelle), but some of these, like [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] and [name_f]Francesca[/name_f], don’t really even tie into names of people who were in the Bible (unless I’m missing something, perhaps a character in the Catholic Bible or something; I’m not Catholic so I really couldn’t say), but [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] was created by [name_m]William[/name_m] [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m] & the [name_m]Francis[/name_m] family originated from a name (Franciscus) meaning “Frenchman” that originated from the Germanic “Franks” tribe. If you are Catholic, I could see the appeal because there are a lot of ties to the [name_m]Francis[/name_m] family (of [name_f]Assisi[/name_f], Franciscan order of monks, etc.) with [name_f]Francesca[/name_f].

I didn’t vote because I wasn’t truly clear what you’re looking for; [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] is my favorite name in general, but if you want a truly Biblical name, I would recommend [name_f]Leah[/name_f], [name_f]Anna[/name_f], or [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is my personal favorite, but I think [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] and [name_f]Leah[/name_f] is especially lovely for a sibling set!

Good luck!

[name_f]Francesca[/name_f] is the most interesting and unexpected choice while still remaining classic and lovely with [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m], however if firm on biblical name I love [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] for you.

[name_f]Beautiful[/name_f] choice and thanks for updating!:heartpulse:

I really love [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]. I know it got very popular but I’ve never actually met a little
[name_f]Olivia[/name_f] and some names are more popular in certain places versus others so I wouldn’t let popularity be my only deciding factor.

You cant go wrong with any of these classics. Maybe think about nicknames though!

Oh sorry just read you chose [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. I think thats a beautiful choice!
