We are down to our final two names, but can’t decide which one. I love both, but the huge popularity of [name]Ella[/name] makes me nervous. Big sister is [name]Kaia[/name] [name]Alexis[/name].
[name]Ella[/name] [name]Ruth[/name]
Or
[name]Leah[/name] [name]Elise[/name] (still debating middle name, if you like [name]Leah[/name] best throw out any other suggestions you can think of)
I think [name]Ella[/name] [name]Ruth[/name] is your winner. [name]Leah[/name] is pretty, and so is [name]Elise[/name], but together, they sound a little repetitive and clunky. [name]Leah[/name] [name]Ruth[/name] would be nice though. Anyway, I [name]Ella[/name] [name]Ruth[/name] sounds fabulous with [name]Kaia[/name] [name]Alexis[/name]! Congratulations!
I know that [name]Ella[/name] is very popular right now, but I think that she works much better with [name]Kaia[/name]. Have you heard of, or considered the name [name]Elva[/name]? It sounds similar to [name]Ella[/name] but it’s not nearly as common. I think [name]Kaia[/name] and [name]Elva[/name] would be cute as sisters.
For some reason I kind of likd the repetitive sound apparently lol DH prefers [name]Ella[/name] over any variation I have shown him so I dont think Ill be able to convince him of [name]Elva[/name], but I do like it.
I prefer [name]Leah[/name], because I think [name]Ella[/name]'s too popular right now, although I think [name]Ruth[/name] sounds better as a MN ([name]Leah[/name] [name]Ruth[/name]).
I do prefer [name]Leah[/name], mainly because ella and elle mean she in spanish and french, and as you said it is fairly popular. [name]Both[/name] names do work with kaia though, although i prefer [name]Leah[/name] [name]Ruth[/name] to [name]Leah[/name] [name]Elise[/name].
I think both name’s are cute. I prefer [name]Ella[/name] even though its popular, but I perfer [name]Elle[/name] even more. In my personal opinion I think [name]Leah[/name] carries better into adulthood though.
I prefer [name]Leah[/name]. [name]Elise[/name] is pretty, but I think [name]Leah[/name] would sound better with a name starting with a consonant, like [name]Leah[/name] [name]Ruth[/name], [name]Leah[/name] [name]Grace[/name], etc.
I prefer [name]Leah[/name]. It has a solid history and is not overused. For a middle name, [name]Elise[/name] does not flow well with [name]Leah[/name], so I prefer the combination of [name]Leah[/name] [name]Ruth[/name]. Here are some other mn ideas:
I much prefer [name]Leah[/name], but not with [name]Elise[/name], it doesn’t flow too well for me with the ‘ee-ah-ee’ sound. [name]Leah[/name] [name]Ruth[/name] would be better, or something a bit longer, maybe three syllable would work well here too, as [name]Leah[/name]'s so short.
I like [name]Ella[/name] [name]Ruth[/name] best. [name]Ella[/name] has that vaguely Scandinavian feel like [name]Kaia[/name], so I think they fit very well together.
I’m with you on the popularity thing, so on popularity alone, I would say [name]Leah[/name] over [name]Ella[/name]. However, my top girl name is [name]Elle[/name]. I prefer [name]Elle[/name] over [name]Ella[/name]. Funny how one letter can make such a difference! You could use [name]Elle[/name] - it’s not nearly as popular as [name]Ella[/name]. However, if you love [name]Ella[/name], but your only concern is the popularity, would you be willing to give her a longer name and use [name]Ella[/name] as a nickname? That way, if she ends up with 4 other Ellas in her class, she would be different. My baby’s full name will probably be [name]Estelle[/name] nn [name]Elle[/name], not because of popularity, but because I stupidly opened my mouth and a friend used [name]Elle[/name] before I could. Also, I’m liking [name]Estelle[/name] because it has a better meaning than [name]Elle[/name]. Maybe you could look up names that end in [name]Ella[/name] and find one that has a nice meaning. You get the best of everything that way, because you can still call her [name]Ella[/name] and it gives your little girl more options when she’s older.
