As a teacher, I have an [name_f]Ella[/name_f] (or [name_f]Bella[/name_f] or Ellie) in nearly every single class. [name_f]Lovey[/name_f] name, but she will be one of many.
[name_f]Maya[/name_f] I’ve had 2 students in the last ten years (USA, Midwest). It is growing in popularity, but it’s still not heard everywhere.
I would’ve loved to use [name_f]Maya[/name_f] for my baby, but my husbands family dog is [name_f]Maya[/name_f]!
Personally, I prefer [name_f]Ella[/name_f]! Both are lovely but [name_f]Ella[/name_f] is so sweet and musical-sounding.
I love Maya!! [name_f]Ella[/name_f] is very sweet too but there’s just something about [name_f]Maya[/name_f] to me!
I prefer [name_f]Maya[/name_f]! I can imagine it on any sort of person, and it’s spunky yet sweet

They are both beautiful names, but they are just so popular! I know one girl named [name_f]Ella[/name_f] who had 2 other girls with the same name just in her class! [name_f]Maia[/name_f] (same pronunciation) is also really popular, and getting more popular year after year. I could see a girl named [name_f]Maya[/name_f] getting her name misspelled a lot, and having other girls in her class having their names pronounced the same.
I think [name_f]Ella[/name_f] is way more versatile for what kind of person it would suit, but I like [name_f]Maya[/name_f] better as far as sound goes.
I prefer [name_f]Maya[/name_f]. It’s spunky, sophisticated and feels less popular than [name_f]Ella[/name_f] to me.
[name_f]Maya[/name_f] is bright and sharp! I like it!
i like them both! but i think i prefer [name_f]Maya[/name_f] slightly it’s spunkier and a bit more unheard of in terms of sound.
I definitely prefer [name_f]Ella[/name_f] by far, I personally can’t see [name_f]Maya[/name_f] on an adult and just don’t like the sound

I’d go for [name_f]Maya[/name_f]- it’s less used and I have a family member named [name_f]May[/name_f] who is the sweetest person I’ve ever known.

I love both names. I would go with [name_f]Ella[/name_f] personally as it’s an all time favorite of mine. It’s sweet on a baby and classy and sophisticated on a grown woman. I tried to get my husband on board with longer names that could shortened to [name_f]Ella[/name_f] for my baby girl but didn’t have much luck. Good luck deciding between the two!

[name_f]Ella[/name_f] is mega overused where I am so I’m bored of it.
[name_f]Maya[/name_f]! It’s less popular but apart from that it’s got a warmth that I don’t feel from [name_f]Ella[/name_f].
I love both! I think I might prefer [name_f]Maya[/name_f] because it is less common.
