Which name do you prefer and why?
[name_f]Elle[/name_f]! Because with [name_f]Lila[/name_f] there are a lot of spelling/pronunciation issues that you wonāt have with [name_f]Elle[/name_f].
I personally like [name_f]Lila[/name_f] (I love the spelling [name_f]Lilah[/name_f], personally). It means beauty or night. [name_f]Elle[/name_f], for me, is pretty but seems a bit plain. It means āsheā in [name_u]French[/name_u]. The i sound in [name_f]Lila[/name_f] is just more appealing, and sticks out against the [name_f]Lily[/name_f] variants, while [name_f]Elle[/name_f] could be shortened to [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], which is fairly common. I do like how rare just [name_f]Elle[/name_f] is, though I just personally like it as a middle. But still, lovely choice either way
I love [name_f]Elle[/name_f] so simple, yet so sparkly and strong on its own
I like both but [name_f]Lila[/name_f] is bright and pretty and stylish
[name_f]Lila[/name_f]! Itās such a nice, subtly floral name. [name_f]Elle[/name_f] is a nice nickname but itās sometimes a little plain.
I love [name_f]Elle[/name_f]
I like them both but am leaning towards [name_f]Lila[/name_f]. I like how melodic it is to say, it makes me think of lilacs, and Iām generally a bit burnt out on [name_f]El[/name_f]- names at the moment.
I like [name_f]Lila[/name_f]! [name_f]Elle[/name_f] is very classic and pretty but I know so many Eleanorās and Elianas and [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] and [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] etc etc and many of them use [name_f]Elle[/name_f] as a nickname
[name_f]Lila[/name_f]! Sheās sharp and sturdy.
I love [name_f]Elle[/name_f]! Itās on my list a actually because I think itās simple and beautiful at the same time. [name_f]My[/name_f] only concern with the name has been that it may be too short of a name. It doesnāt work with my last name anyway, but if I could consider for one of my children, I would probably practice using it for a day or two and see how it goes.
I prefer [name_f]Elle[/name_f]! Iām not sure why, Iām just not a big fan of [name_f]Lila[/name_f] but I donāt have a good reason
[name_f]Elle[/name_f] is pretty, but Iāve always felt that it should be a nickname of a longer name? I agree with the spelling/pronunciation issues thing for [name_f]Lila[/name_f], I have a friend named [name_f]Lila[/name_f] (lye-la) and her name has been spelled [name_f]Lyla[/name_f], [name_f]Leila[/name_f], [name_f]Laila[/name_f], [name_f]Layla[/name_f] and also pronounced as lee-la.
[name_f]Lila[/name_f]
I prefer the spunky brightness of this name.
[name_f]Elle[/name_f] (mostly because of my sisterās MLB phase ) but both are nice
[name_f]Lila[/name_f]! More timeless, and has a better meaning than [name_f]Elle[/name_f].
I like both, but [name_f]Lila[/name_f] gets my vote, it feels more of a full name, while [name_f]Elle[/name_f] feels more of a nickname.
[name_f]Lila[/name_f] ~ less trendy / more of a pleasant sound / less childlike
I prefer [name_f]Lila[/name_f], itās sunny and bright. But Iād prefer [name_f]Ella[/name_f] over both [name_f]Lila[/name_f] & [name_f]Elle[/name_f]
Theyāre both really lovely names. I adore [name_f]Lila[/name_f] but there are soooo many short names ending in an āaā sound, and pronounciation (Lee-la or Lie-la?) put me off for my own DD. [name_f]Elle[/name_f] is timeless, pretty classy, and if youāre worried itās too short there are oodles of names with lovely meanings (mainly light related) that you could give for a longer option but call her [name_f]Elle[/name_f] day-to-day.
