I prefer [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] but [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] would be my second choice.
[name_u]Eliot[/name_u] I think would be my choice because I like the streamlined feel and the option of [name_m]Eli[/name_m].
I’m partial to [name_u]Elliott[/name_u]. I like the connection to E.T. and the symmetry of two ls and two ts.
I always go with [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] because it’s the most symmetrical-looking of the three spellings and I used to know a cool guy named [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] with two T’s.
[name_u]Elliott[/name_u] - two l’s and two t’s for me!
[name_u]Elliott[/name_u] because I prefer the symmetry.
[name_u]Elliott[/name_u] is the correct spelling.
[name_u]Elliot[/name_u] is the intuitive spelling (in the United States).
I prefer [name_u]Elliot[/name_u].
I’ve always had a preference for [name_u]Elliot[/name_u].
Even if Elliott was the original way it was spelled, I wouldn’t say it’s the “correct” spelling.
Makes it sound like the other spellings are “wrong”
Everyone has their opinion, which is what I’m looking for. I just wouldn’t go as far as saying one spelling is “correct”
[name_u]Eliot[/name_u] gives you the more obvious option of [name_m]Eli[/name_m] but as of now, I’m planning on using the spelling [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] and I still think I’ll call him [name_m]Eli[/name_m].
First time I heard [name_m]Eli[/name_m] was as a nickname for [name_u]Elliot[/name_u], spelled this way so I see it useable either way honestly.
I find it interesting that you like it spelled [name_u]Eliot[/name_u] though. Didn’t think anybody would choose this way. ![]()
I will always love [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] - two l’s, two t’s.
By correct spelling, I mean traditional spelling.
My personal preference is the intuitive spelling (in the United States): [name_u]Elliot[/name_u].
