Eloise, Eleanor/Elinor or Margaret

Ok…so only 4 more weeks…and still can not decide. Probably will take all 3 names with us to the hospital until we can meet her and see what best suits her…but still looking for opinions because we so do not know what to choose. Big Brother is [name]Jack[/name].
Middle name will be [name]Diane[/name] after my mother. We will probably use a nn with each name.

My 2 favs are:
[name]Eloise[/name] (nn [name]Ella[/name] or [name]Lola[/name])
[name]Eleanor[/name]/[name]Elinor[/name] (nn [name]Nella[/name])

Hubby’s fav
[name]Margaret[/name] (NN [name]Maggy[/name])

We are looking for something that goes with [name]John[/name] (nn [name]Jack[/name]) and is fresh, cute and spunky. My name is [name]Tegan[/name] and Hubby’s name is [name]Patrick[/name] if that helps too. Thanks for your thoughts and opinions!

if you’re looking for fresh, cute and spunky then my vote goes for [name]Eloise[/name]!

[name]Elinor[/name] almost does it, but because of [name]Eleanor[/name]'s popularity, both spellings are definitely less fresh. [name]Elinor[/name] is spunkier than [name]Eleanor[/name], though.

And [name]Margaret[/name] is a little more vintage-y and classic in my mind. [name]Marigold[/name] or [name]Magnolia[/name] are fresher/spunkier routes to [name]Maggie[/name] though I’m sure you have considered those already

I have 2 daughters [name]Elly[/name] ([name]Elisabeth[/name]) & [name]Nora[/name], so you’d think I’d really like [name]Eleanor[/name]/[name]Elinor[/name] (ha! see my username!), but it’s not one I love. Obviously, I do love the possible nicks [name]Elly[/name] & [name]Nora[/name], though. [name]Nell[/name] is really cute, too, although I’m not loving [name]Nella[/name]. I think with [name]John[/name]/[name]Jack[/name], I’d go with [name]Eloise[/name] for something a little spunkier. I do love [name]Margaret[/name] & the nns [name]Maggie[/name] & [name]Meg[/name], though. You really, really can’t go wrong. I also think that [name]Helen[/name] nn [name]Nell[/name] would be swoon-worthy with [name]John[/name] nn [name]Jack[/name].

my vote goes for [name]Eloise[/name] !

I love your choices! All classic and underused, and they all sound great with [name]John[/name] nickname [name]Jack[/name]. For me, it’s a toss-up between [name]Margaret[/name] and [name]Elinor[/name]/[name]Eleanor[/name]. [name]Elinor[/name] is the least common but [name]Eleanor[/name] is less likely too be misspelled. [name]Even[/name] so, [name]Elinor[/name] is lovely, and it has a [name]Jane[/name] [name]Austen[/name] reference to boot. [name]Margaret[/name] is classic, surprisingly un-popular, and has great nicknames.

[name]Eloise[/name] is a fine name, but the sound just doesn’t appeal to me as much as [name]Elinor[/name] and [name]Margaret[/name].

Good luck!–[name]Christy[/name] ([name]Margaret[/name])

[name]Eloise[/name] gets my vote. If you are looking for fresh, cute and spunky then [name]Eloise[/name] fits the bill. It is such a beautiful name. I’ve met lots of little [name]Maggie[/name] and Eleanors, but I havent met an [name]Eloise[/name] yet. [name]Margaret[/name] and [name]Eleanor[/name] are both great name but they seem a little tired in comparison to [name]Eloise[/name].

I would choose [name]Eloise[/name].

I really love all three! I think [name]Eloise[/name] best fits your criteria of fresh, cute, and spunky, though. I also love [name]Eleanor[/name], and [name]Nella[/name] is a nickname I haven’t thought of. [name]Margaret[/name] is lovely, and [name]Maggie[/name] is a very cute nickname. You really can’t go wrong!
