Ember, is it too fiery?

I think [name]Ember[/name] would be a nice middle name, when I was little I used to love the name [name]Amber[/name] (unaware of its popularity.) [name]Ember[/name] seems to be a nice alternative, but only as a mn. What do you think? A little bit dated/trendy? Or is it pretty?

I think [name]Ember[/name] is pretty, but sounds too similar to [name]Amber[/name]. People may mishear it. You may like [name]Kimber[/name] or [name]Timber[/name].

I love it. I had [name]Ember[/name], and for a while [name]Kimber[/name], on my list a while ago. I think it’s spunky and cool without being weird or too much. It sounds familiar but is uncommon. I do agree that it could be misheard as [name]Amber[/name], but don’t let that stop you. [name]Every[/name] name is going to have problems (I’m [name]Angel[/name] and lots of people, when they first meet me, say “oh [name]Angela[/name].” and I say “No [name]Angel[/name]” and sometimes I get “Oh [name]April[/name].” or “Oh [name]Ashley[/name]” because for some reason people can’t grasp that [name]Angel[/name] is my name :stuck_out_tongue: )

I think [name]Ember[/name] is lovely and not dated at all. I don’t think it was ever popular enough to be considered dated. No such think as too fiery!

I like [name]Ember[/name]. It’s great!

I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Ember[/name].

[name]Ember[/name] is a really pretty name!

I’m ok with it as a middle. As a first I think it would be mistaken for [name]Amber[/name] a lot. I think it could sound earthy & nice in the right combo

[name]Ember[/name] definitely works.

[name]Ember[/name] is far from being too fiery.

Embers are the reminents of a fire, pieces of glowing heat basically. It’s not even really fire itself.
I view [name]Ember[/name] as a [name]Autumn[/name] name, and I think of crunchy changing leaves, cool air but warmth at the same time. Fireside, cozyness etc. This is due to the -ember months, namely [name]September[/name] and [name]November[/name], and to a lesser degree [name]December[/name].

I really like the name, it’s very pretty.

I love it! i really only think of fire as a second thought, but it adds a nice nature element, and is not too out there while still being unique

I love. I find it to be beautiful.

I like it; I prefer it to [name]Amber[/name], actually.
It has a really pretty sound but sounds strong in a nature-y way. It’s definitely very usable, even as a first name.

Not sure how you’ll feel about this, but I also really like [name]Ebba[/name] at the minute which is quite trendy-vintage-Scandinavian I hear.

My daughter is [name]Ember[/name] and of course I love the name. Beleive it or not very rarely do people call her [name]Amber[/name]. She gets complements from almost everyone we meet on how beautiful her name is. We also found the name [name]Ember[/name] very memorible ,and that has added benifits in life like future jobs , collage apps, and social clubs.

Personally, I love [name]Ember[/name]. Because it’s similar to both [name]Amber[/name] and [name]Emily[/name], it has a familiar feel to it while still being pretty underused.

I think it’s an absolutely gorgeous name, but don’t know that I’d ever use it in the first name position. In the middle name, however, I think it would be lovely, especially paired with something a tad more grounded.

I really like it, especially in the middle. =]

I think it’s a fine name, but I don’t like it personally. I do feel like it would be mistaklen for [name]Amber[/name] a lot, but I wouldn’t let that stop you from using it.

It’s a lovely name…especially for baby born in the Fall. I think it would be quite stunning as a first name. I can’t say it’s dated as I’ve never really heard it used before.

It’s not dated because it was never popular.

I like it. It has beautiful imagery associated with it.
