Embry ? and Everly ?

Okay, this is for future reference. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband and I can only agree on three girls names.

[name_f]Ireland[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] (this is practically set in stone. We adore this)
then we have:

[name_u]Embry[/name_u] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] or [name_u]Embry[/name_u] Rhyann
[name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_u]Kay[/name_u] or [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]

Can you think of any other middle name suggestions for [name_u]Everly[/name_u] and [name_u]Embry[/name_u]?
And what are your honest opinions on these names?

Honestly, [name_u]Embry[/name_u] makes me think of Embryo every time I see it. Sorry, not a fan :frowning:

[name_f]Ireland[/name_f] is a strong name, if it has meaning for you, I love it.

[name_u]Everly[/name_u] is sweet. I know it has roots, but because I didn’t start hearing it until a few years ago and only on blogger kids and hipsters in my neighbhorhood, that’s what it makes me think of. It just screams ’ I’m a cool kid!’ However, [name_f]Evie[/name_f] is one of my favourite nns.

Middle suggestions:
[name_u]Embry[/name_u] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]
[name_u]Embry[/name_u] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Frances[/name_f]
[name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]

Honestly, I don’t like any of them. [name_f]Ireland[/name_f] is a country and not a name, and [name_u]Embry[/name_u] and [name_u]Everly[/name_u] strike me as just a collection of popular sounds rather than surnames. [name_m]Even[/name_m] so, I don’t think surnames make good first names.

Honestly I don’t love [name_u]Embry[/name_u] - my instinct is to add an “o” to it and then it feels awkward as a name. I think I get its appeal, but it isn’t a name I’d use myself for that reason. [name_u]Embry[/name_u] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] works a lot better to me than [name_u]Embry[/name_u] Rhyann - the “r” sounds at the end of [name_u]Embry[/name_u] and the beginning of Rhyann cause a little bit of a tongue-twister for me.

I like [name_u]Everly[/name_u] OK - I usually don’t care for unisex, surname-y names on girls, but there’s the possibility of “[name_f]Evie[/name_f]” as a nickname, and we’ve used [name_f]Beverly[/name_f] long enough that I think [name_u]Everly[/name_u] should be fine. (I keep mistyping it as “[name_f]Every[/name_f]”, for whatever reason.) I like both the combos you have - might prefer [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] but for no solid reason, I just like it better. I would be hesitant to use either if you’d already used [name_f]Kate[/name_f] as a middle name for [name_f]Ireland[/name_f], though, since they’re all variants on the same name.

Others:

[name_u]Embry[/name_u] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f]
[name_u]Embry[/name_u] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f]
[name_u]Embry[/name_u] [name_f]Susannah[/name_f]
[name_u]Embry[/name_u] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_u]Embry[/name_u] [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]

[name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Norah[/name_f]
[name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Hannah[/name_f]

Thank you, schickler. That’s fine that you’re not a fan of [name_u]Embry[/name_u]…to each his own!
[name_f]Ireland[/name_f] is a way of honoring my family’s rich Irish heritage. [name_f]Kate[/name_f] is a form
of my mom’s name. [name_u]Embry[/name_u] is an old family name, and [name_u]Everly[/name_u] we like simply
because it’s so sweet for a little girl. I love your suggestions of [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and
[name_f]Jane[/name_f]. Thank you!

All I can honestly imagine is over a lifetime hearing “[name_u]Embry[/name_u]! Oh!..sdsdf sdfsd f sdfsdf” or “[name_u]Embry[/name_u]-O M G”… It’s going to be a laughing thing she would need to come to terms with. I don’t like it much. But yeah, to each their own…
[name_u]Everly[/name_u] is a very pretty name though getting so common. [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_u]Bliss[/name_u], [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Mathia[/name_f], [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Belle[/name_f], [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_u]Sorrel[/name_u], [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Juna[/name_f].
Maybe even [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_u]Ember[/name_u]… Solves your problems.!

[name_f]Ireland[/name_f] is an adore name though!

I love [name_f]Every[/name_f] because of the possible nn [name_u]Ever[/name_u], but I agree with the embryo thing. I love [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_u]Kay[/name_u], but I’m not a fan of [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] but for personal reasons. [name_f]Ireland[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] is extremely pretty and feminine without being frilly. A+
