Emerald for a girl?

Do you think that Emerald sounds too unusual for a girl? I think that Emerald Pearl is too much?

Such a gorgeous name! It entered the top 1000 in the US a couple years ago, so I don’t think it’s too unusual. I do think [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is too much, but it’s very pretty

Emerald totally works for a girl!
Emerald Pearl is too much, though.

[name_f]Emerald[/name_f] is awesome.

(I’m biased though, since my name is Esmeralda).

[name_f]Emerald[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is too gemmy though. I’m not a fan of strung together word names, in general, but especially if they have a shared theme.

There’s a little Emerald who lives down the street from me! I fell in love when I first heard her name being called.

Emerald Pearl is very themey although to me nothing is too much… but I am a very specific case.

[name_f]Emerald[/name_f] is such a great name and I love the nickname [name_f]Emme[/name_f] for this name :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
However, [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is too much, maybe [name_f]Pearla[/name_f] ?

[name_f]Emerald[/name_f] is so cute! [name_u]Love[/name_u] nicknames [name_f]Emme[/name_f] and Mer/Mera (pronounced MARE-uh) I do think [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is to jewel-y for a girl, but as a book character it’s cool!

I love [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] for a girl! It’s beautiful. I don’t think it’s too unusual for a girl since it’s more common as a girl name. I do agree with everyone else that [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is too much. Maybe [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] could work since [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] means [name_f]Pearl[/name_f].

Emerald is a huge yes!! Emerald Pearl is a lot, but if you love it, than it’s not too much!

I love the name [name_f]Emerald[/name_f]! But [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is too much

[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Emerald[/name_f], it’s pretty but strong. [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is too much together though individually beautiful.

I think [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] is gorgeous! I haven’t heard it in real life but I love it. If my husband’s surname didn’t also end in “-ald” it would be on my list for sure.

I do think [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is too wordy/jewel-y though.

I loooove Emerald

I agree with this tho :pensive:

I think it’s similarity to names like [name_f]Emily[/name_f] and [name_f]Emma[/name_f] makes it feel more grounded. It’s a beautiful name. [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is a bit too gemstone for me

I know one irl & she gets bullies for her name- :grimacing:

[name_f]Emerald[/name_f] is lovely! [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is a little bit too much for me, but it’s still very pretty in sound.

I absolutely love [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] it’s such a majestic, elegant gemstone that conjures up gorgeous colour imagery with that beautiful green colour, the pretty gemstone, association with spring and [name_u]Ireland[/name_u] being referred to [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] [name_u]Isle[/name_u] it’s a beautiful choice. I have the name [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f] on my list :smiling_face_with_three_hearts::smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Concerning your combination [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is a bit too wordy with to many gemstones I just don’t think it works. But [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] itself is beautiful.

I LOVE Emerald! however Emerald Pearl is a bit much.

It’s not my favorite of the jewel names, but I think it’s fine. One of my college roommates was named Diamond and by all accounts, she got on fine. Emerald isn’t much different. I do agree that Emerald Pearl is a little much on its own.

Emeraude and Esmeralda could be considered alternatives.

I love it and I love the nn em or [name_f]Emme[/name_f]
