Emerald

Could this work as a first name? I know [name_f]Esmeralda[/name_f] is quite established as a name, but I feel like she’s a bit too much for us, [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] feels just right between being unique but not too frilly.

I know a couple [name_f]Emerald[/name_f]'s! One even has really beautiful green eyes, so it fits her so well! I think it is fairly usable and lends a couple of nicknames that are more familiar, like [name_f]Em[/name_f] or [name_f]Emmie[/name_f]. It is unusual without being super weird or out there.

It goes against my usual taste but I actually really like it.

I’ve always liked it, and I think it fits with your other kids names! Keep in mind, it might get shortened to Emm or even [name_f]Emma[/name_f]. Perfectly nice names but ends up sounding common.

Yes! I’ve actually seen a few of your posts where you were pondering [name_f]Esther[/name_f], [name_f]Eponine[/name_f] and Evolet. I may have even commented to vote for Evolet, but none of them sound as good with [name_f]Eulalie[/name_f] as [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] does!

I think you’ve nailed it. [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] really is a great balance and match with [name_f]Eulalie[/name_f]. I focus mainly on your other girl’s name because I feel that it’s really important that sisters have similar types of names, if that makes sense. [name_m]Just[/name_m] so that neither can say that the other’s name is better or more this or that.

TL;DR: [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] is gorgeous, go for it! I would love to meet a little [name_f]Emerald[/name_f].

I love the name [name_f]Emerald[/name_f]. I like how classic and vintage it is, but at the same time it’s unique and just beautiful.

I love the name but if u like the name [name_f]Esmeralda[/name_f] you could name her that and just call her [name_f]Emerald[/name_f]
