I think [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] flows the best but [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] is my favourite of your choices for a girl. [name_u]Parker[/name_u] sounds too much like “park her”.

FYI - actress [name_f]Terri[/name_f] Hatcher has a girl named [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f].

[name_u]Parker[/name_u] is the one I like best on girls, and I do like [name_u]Parker[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] quite a lot, but [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] feels the most usable. It has feminine nns like [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] and [name_f]Emma[/name_f], and it sounds good with [name_f]Rose[/name_f], and if I had to have another unisex name, and I had to pick between these three, I would want most to be an [name_u]Emerson[/name_u]. I think it’d be quite hard to wear [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] or [name_u]Parker[/name_u] well on a girl. Another GP unisex/boy’s name I like on girls is [name_u]Brady[/name_u]. There’s just something about it I can appreciate on a girl, even though I usually don’t care for boys’ names on girls. I think [name_u]Brady[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] would be sweet, or even something like [name_u]Brady[/name_u] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f]/[name_u]Brady[/name_u] [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f]. [name_u]Hadley[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Jocelyn[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] would be sweet, too. I don’t know if either of those would appeal to you, though…

I absolutely love [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] on a girl! I know a female [name_u]Parker[/name_u], and it doesn’t fit her very well, so I think that’s should stay boy, and I’ve never been a fan of [name_u]Emerson[/name_u].

I really detest unisex names on girls. Here are some that might work better:

[name_u]Ellery[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_u]Hadley[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_u]Harper[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_u]Avery[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_u]Ellison[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]

I don’t think [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] fits the best even though it suits your style as a name. I think that [name_u]Parker[/name_u] would be the best as it is edgy yet becoming more feminine and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] adds to that too.
[name_u]Parker[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] would be my choice with [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] second.

I really don’t like [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] for girls, I feel like the masculine qualities are wayyy to high. On nameberry, it works, but in real life it could be challenging to have that name.

I like both [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] and [name_u]Parker[/name_u], but my vote is for [name_u]Emerson[/name_u]

I opted for [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u], because for some reason it was my first thought picturing a little girl with each of these names.

@justanamelover, the names in your signature are wonderful!

I chose [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] and [name_u]Parker[/name_u].

  1. [name_u]Emerson[/name_u]: I like the diversity of [name_u]Emerson[/name_u]. I like that you could give the nn. [name_f]Emmy[/name_f], [name_f]Emma[/name_f], Mery, [name_f]Mary[/name_f]. I think it sounds best because the n ending breaks off from the r beginning of [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. If she turns out to be really girly you could nickname her EmmyRose. I just think it’s best.

  2. [name_u]Parker[/name_u]: I have a female cousin named [name_u]Parker[/name_u]. Her middle name’s [name_f]McKenzie[/name_f]. I had lived my whole life until joining nameberry thinking it was a girls name. She does say that she gets made fun of time to time with people saying “park-her”. All in all, she likes her name and it suits her well. [name_u]Parker[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] runs together more than [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f].

  3. [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u]: I’ve never seen the appeal for [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] male or female. It rhymes with lawyer. The Sawy part reminds me of soy, which reminds me of soy sauch, which makes think of a Chinese restaurant. I usually see that [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] is misspelled with the w and y being switched. It also kind of sounds like: so you’re. Making [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]: So you’re [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. That’s cool, but kinda messed up too. It also has the same problem with r ending and r beginning of [name_f]Rose[/name_f].

I picked [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] because I like the 3-1 flow best. Some other suggestions:

[name_u]Addison[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_u]Delaney[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_u]Devon[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_u]Jameson[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] (it does make me think of whiskey, but it also gives you [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] as a cute nn)

I also like previous suggestions of [name_u]Ellery[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_u]Ellison[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], and [name_u]Hadley[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f].

Agree with the comments about unisex names. And all the critiques of these particular choices.

[name_u]Emerson[/name_u] literally means “son of [name_u]Emery[/name_u].” I just do not understand why this is even considered unisex. It’s a name that’s trying to take classics like [name_f]Emma[/name_f] or [name_f]Emily[/name_f] and make it into an edgy, boys-names-on-girls-is-cool thing.

[name_u]Parker[/name_u] just has no substance to it. Sounds like “barker.” Actually, ironically, I once had a female dog by this name. It was cute, for a poodle.

Agree completely with pp about [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u]. It does not appeal to me whatsoever for either sex. It’s very masculine. I just looked it up and I am baffled that it’s actually halfway up the ss list for girls—only appearing since 2010. Too trendy.

I think boyandgirl’s suggestions are a million times more preferable than these three. Other unisex names I like or think are usable are:

[name_m]Austin[/name_m]/[name_u]Austen[/name_u]
[name_u]Bellamy[/name_u]
[name_u]Blair[/name_u]/[name_u]Blaire[/name_u]
[name_u]Camden[/name_u]
[name_u]Finlay[/name_u]
[name_u]Leighton[/name_u]
[name_u]Marley[/name_u]
[name_u]Peyton[/name_u]
[name_u]Quinn[/name_u]
[name_u]Rowan[/name_u]
[name_u]Reece[/name_u]

I [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] [name_u]Emerson[/name_u]!! Especially with the nickname [name_f]Emme[/name_f] (pronounced like [name_f]Emmy[/name_f])… I like [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] instead of [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. I also like [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] or [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] (although those 2 depend on how long your last name is). If your last name is a longer, I would go with [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u].

I understand the appeal of [name_f]Emma[/name_f]/[name_f]Emmy[/name_f] as I named my daughter it but it baffles me that people actually like [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] on a girl. Like littlemrsb said, it literally means “son of [name_u]Emery[/name_u]”. WHY would you want to give your daughter a name that means “[name_m]SON[/name_m] OF”? Putting it on a girl doesn’t change the meaning. Your daughter’s name will still be “[name_m]SON[/name_m] OF [name_u]Emery[/name_u]”.

[name_u]Parker[/name_u] and [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] sound very masculine to me as well. [name_u]Parker[/name_u] doesn’t sound good on a girl because it sounds like “park her”.

I like the suggestions of [name_u]Marley[/name_u], [name_u]Hadley[/name_u], and [name_u]Harper[/name_u].

Of the three, [name_u]Parker[/name_u] got my vote. Probably because I know an adorable female toddler named [name_u]Parker[/name_u], so it has a positive association for me. I don’t like [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] due to the -son ending, as other posters mentioned.

The “r” ending of [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] and [name_u]Parker[/name_u] runs into the “r” in [name_f]Rose[/name_f], plus I like [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] for girls much better.
As a general statement, I’m not a huge fan of boys-names-for-girls, but here are some I like: [name_u]Hollis[/name_u], [name_u]Piper[/name_u], [name_u]Fifer[/name_u], [name_u]Hadley[/name_u], [name_u]Wallis[/name_u], [name_u]Harley[/name_u], [name_u]Harper[/name_u], [name_f]Ardis[/name_f], [name_u]Quincy[/name_u] or [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], [name_u]Laine[/name_u], [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u], [name_u]Flannery[/name_u], [name_u]Rowan[/name_u], [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u], [name_u]Tierney[/name_u], [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u], [name_u]Ember[/name_u], [name_u]Larkin[/name_u]/Larken, [name_u]Teagan[/name_u],

From your list, I like [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] best.

Other suggestions (some of which I see have already been suggested, but I will still echo):
[name_u]Addison[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_u]Ellery[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_m]Palmer[/name_m] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Winslet[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Thessaly[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]

Ugh, I really don’t like boy names on girls --especially the name [name_u]Emerson[/name_u]. It is so masculine.

That being said, I guess my vote would be for [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] or [name_u]Parker[/name_u].

 i don’t like any of these, unfortunately. They all sounds very masculine to me, especially [name_u]Emerson[/name_u].

I also don’t understand the point of a masculine first with a feminine middle. It seems you want to balance it out so that no one will think she’s a boy. But unless you plan to call her “Parkerrose” or “Emersonrose” no one is going to know her middle name. All they’ll hear is [name_u]Parker[/name_u], [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u], or [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] and odds are they’ll assume boy, which defeats the purpose of the feminine middle. I’d also echo the “son of” commenters before me. The literal naming of the name is boy. Also for [name_u]Parker[/name_u] i also just hear the beginnings of a “park her? I barely know her!” joke. The only nickname I’ve ever heard for [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] is SoyBoy, so nickname options for a girl seem limited.

It seems like what you might actually want are girl names that are less frilly.

[name_u]Emerson[/name_u]: I used this as a nickname for a girl named [name_f]Emma[/name_f]. [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] is usable and sounds adorable.
[name_u]Sawyer[/name_u]: This sounds the most like a girl’s name. [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] sounds pretty.
[name_u]Parker[/name_u]: I feel like this is more of a boys name, thanks to Days of Our Lives. I do like this name, but I can’t imagine it on a girl.

I love unisex names! [name_u]Parker[/name_u] is very cute. I know a boy and a girl [name_u]Parker[/name_u] and I think it fits both of them well.
