1) [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] “[name_f]Millie[/name_f]” vs. [name_f]Amalia[/name_f] - Which do you prefer with a sister [name_f]Leonie[/name_f]?
2) I like [name_f]Millie[/name_f] as a nickname (sounds sweet & reminds me of my granny, who was called [name_f]Millie[/name_f], short for [name_f]Mildred[/name_f]). As a way to get to it, I like [name_f]Romilly[/name_f] but worry about it being tough to pronounce. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you have any other usable name suggestions that could shorten to [name_f]Milly[/name_f]/[name_f]Millie[/name_f]?
I adore [name_f]Emilia[/name_f], and I like nn [name_f]Millie[/name_f], too – so cute! I think [name_f]Leonie[/name_f] and [name_f]Romilly[/name_f] would be adorable together, though! [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Romilly[/name_f]. That would be my vote.
I think between [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] and Amallia, [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] would be best with [name_f]Leonie[/name_f]. I do think [name_f]Romilly[/name_f] would be an even better choice :). They are lovely together
Some other “[name_f]Milly[/name_f]/[name_f]Millie[/name_f]” names I can think of are [name_f]Carmilla[/name_f], [name_f]Camille[/name_f], and [name_f]Millicent[/name_f].
I kinda like [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] better as a name in general but I think [name_f]Amalia[/name_f] goes with [name_f]Leonie[/name_f] because it doesn’t have as many similar sounds
I prefer [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] (and think it shortens to [name_f]Millie[/name_f] more intuitively than [name_f]Amalia[/name_f]), but I think [name_f]Amalia[/name_f] works a tiny bit better with [name_f]Leonie[/name_f] because of the different vowel sounds.
[name_f]Romilly[/name_f] is fabulous! Other “[name_f]Millie[/name_f]” names:
I think [name_f]Amalia[/name_f] goes much better with [name_f]Leonie[/name_f], they really sound like sisters. I also think [name_f]Amalia[/name_f] could easily have nn [name_f]Millie[/name_f]. [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] I’m not a fan of because of its closeness to more popular [name_f]Amelia[/name_f].
I adore both [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] and [name_f]Amalia[/name_f], they’re both beautiful names. I think they’d both work with [name_f]Leonie[/name_f], but I think [name_f]Amalia[/name_f] and [name_f]Leonie[/name_f] work better together because they have less similar sounds, and because I believe they both have Germanic roots.
If it had been [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] instead of [name_f]Amalia[/name_f], I would have said [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]. But in this case, I prefer [name_f]Emilia[/name_f]. It’s there something in [name_f]Amalia[/name_f] that bothers me. Plus, [name_f]Millie[/name_f] is really pretty and works lovely with [name_f]Leonie[/name_f].
I don’t find [name_f]Romilly[/name_f] tough to pronounce, and [name_f]Leonie[/name_f] and [name_f]Romilly[/name_f] make a nice sibset.
I love both, we had [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] [name_f]Sharyn[/name_f] and [name_f]Amalie[/name_f] [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] on our list. I think [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] just eeks out a slight victory for me though.
[name_f]Emilia[/name_f] “[name_f]Millie[/name_f]” vs. [name_f]Amalia[/name_f] - Which do you prefer with a sister [name_f]Leonie[/name_f]?
I think they both sound good with [name_f]Leonie[/name_f]. I personally prefer [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] or [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], slightly preferring [name_f]Emilia[/name_f]. I feel neutral about [name_f]Amalie[/name_f].
I like [name_f]Millie[/name_f] as a nickname (sounds sweet & reminds me of my granny, who was called [name_f]Millie[/name_f], short for [name_f]Mildred[/name_f]). As a way to get to it, I like [name_f]Romilly[/name_f] but worry about it being tough to pronounce. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you have any other usable name suggestions that could shorten to [name_f]Milly[/name_f]/[name_f]Millie[/name_f]?
I adore [name_f]Millie[/name_f] as a nickname or standalone.
I love both and think they both work with [name_f]Leonie[/name_f]. I slightly prefer [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] with [name_f]Leonie[/name_f].
[name_f]Romilly[/name_f] def works too. [name_f]Camille[/name_f], [name_f]Camila[/name_f], [name_f]Milena[/name_f]… I like [name_f]Camille[/name_f] as it is the most chic like [name_f]Leonie[/name_f], but these all work imo.
I am a bit surprised to see so much positivity for [name_f]Romilly[/name_f], but it makes me not want to count it out. Thanks for all your responses; I’m going to think about [name_f]Romilly[/name_f], [name_f]Camille[/name_f], [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] “[name_f]Millie[/name_f]” and [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] (though the similarity to [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] is now making me lukewarm since it’s been pointed out more than a few times). I think [name_f]Amalia[/name_f] may be better as a middle name option if I used it… and [name_f]Mireille[/name_f] would be a good MN too, I forgot how much I liked that one. I think all my girls may end up with [name_m]French[/name_m] names at the rate I’m going.
I prefer [name_f]Leonie[/name_f] and [name_f]Emilia[/name_f], but I think [name_f]Leonie[/name_f] and [name_f]Romilly[/name_f] make for an awesome sibset.
