There are 3 different ways to pronounce it so maybe there is still hope for you!

[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] (leen) nn [name_f]Emmie[/name_f]! I have one and she’s about the most delightful creature that ever existed! She does get misheard as [name_f]Emily[/name_f] from time to time but she’s outgoing enough to correct it. It’s elegant and long but not necessarily frilly, works on a child as well as an adult, and doesn’t typecast a personality (since there are so few of them still!) I took her to vote with me this year and told her about [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] Pankhurst and she was beyond thrilled to share the name with the woman who “told everyone that girls should have an opinion too!”
[name_f]Giselle[/name_f] is so pretty too but I only like the [name_u]French[/name_u] pronunciation.
