Emmeline?

I’ve been quite enamored with [name]Emmeline[/name] lately and I’m just curious what everyone else thinks. I love it with my other favorites, I think it’s a great stylistic match, so I’m not concerned with that at all. I’m still trying to narrow down number 10 for my girls’ list. I had been about 98% set on [name]Catherine[/name] (still loving it), but [name]Emmeline[/name]'s been creeping up on me and I just want to be sure.

[name]Emmeline[/name] was once my favorite (really my only other favorite in the past five or six years, other than [name]Isabelle[/name]), so I know I love it… I just sort of fell out of love with it after I fell for [name]Isabelle[/name]. Still, I really love it with [name]Isabelle[/name], [name]Arianne[/name], [name]Olivia[/name], [name]Violet[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name], and [name]Hannah[/name], especially.

[name]Emmeline[/name] is beautiful. I also love [name]Evangeline[/name].

I love [name]Emmeline[/name]!

As you can see by my username I love the name [name]Emmeline[/name], I personally prefer it over [name]Catharine[/name]. It also has the obvious nn [name]Emma[/name], which al thoug popular is a super cute name.

[name]Emmeline[/name] is beautiful! I think some variations are nice too like [name]Emery[/name] or Emeria

I love [name]Emmeline[/name] for you. I can never decide which I love better [name]Emmeline[/name] or [name]Gemma[/name]. Usually I settle on [name]Gemma[/name] but if I could use them both believe me I would! I think [name]Emmeline[/name] and [name]Isabelle[/name] are adorable sisters :). I could definitely see you introducing your family “This is my son [name]Caleb[/name] and my daughters [name]Emmeline[/name] and [name]Isabelle[/name]”. I say go for it. It feels the most you of your options.

My only problem with it is that ever since I have fallen for [name]Isabelle[/name], I don’t seem to love [name]Emmeline[/name] to the same degree. I’ll go in spurts of loving it, but never the enduring way that I love [name]Isabelle[/name], [name]Arianne[/name], [name]Olivia[/name], [name]Violet[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name], [name]Rachel[/name], and [name]Lillian[/name]/[name]Liliana[/name]. For the past 3 years or so it’s slowly slipped off my list, and I’m not sure I can see me with an [name]Emmeline[/name]. I mean, I love it right now, and I’d love to keep loving it, I’d love to add it to my list because I’ve adored it in the past, but I’m just weary that it’s just another passing fad, and that I’ll never really love [name]Emmeline[/name] that much anymore.

[name]Emmeline[/name] is lovely! It also has the possible cute nn [name]Emma[/name] or [name]Emmy[/name].

If you truly aren’t sold on [name]Emmeline[/name], it’s okay to let it go, but you seem to still really love it. I feel the same way with the name [name]Gregor[/name]. I loved it (it was our #2 name with [name]Eldon[/name]), but now it comes and goes off my list though somehow it always seems to sneak back on.

[name]Emmeline[/name] is lovely - I’m always reminded of the wonderful girl from the [name]Anne[/name] of [name]Green[/name] Gables movie.

It’s not that I’m not sold on [name]Emmeline[/name], or that I still really love it. The thing is, for the past 3 years, I really haven’t loved it. I mean, I loved it in the way that it used to be a favorite of mine and I still really appreciate it and love hearing it used (much like any other old favorite, like [name]Peter[/name] or [name]Benjamin[/name] or [name]Jonathan[/name] or [name]Lacey[/name] or [name]Abigail[/name]). The thing is, right now I do really love it. I’m crushing on it just as much (if not more than!) all the other names I’ve been considering for the last spot on my short list ([name]Eva[/name], [name]Tess[/name], [name]Annora[/name], [name]Audrey[/name], [name]Josephine[/name], [name]Catherine[/name], etc.). But I know that in the past 3 years, the times I have crushed on [name]Emmeline[/name], it’s only lasted a couple days, and then I’m back to being sure that [name]Emmeline[/name] isn’t meant to stay on my list (which maybe means I should have just seen where [name]Emmeline[/name] ended up instead of posting about it, haha). I really love it now, but I’m afraid that if I do add it, I’ll be back out of love with it within a week, and I really don’t want to have to worry about finding an [name]Emmeline[/name] replacement if I do add it.

Still thinking on [name]Emmeline[/name]–any more thoughts? Does anybody know any Emmelines? I’m having trouble imagining what a little [name]Emmeline[/name] would look like/be like…
