Emmi Grace

Emmanueline [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]

(nn. [name_f]Emmi[/name_f] …or… [name_f]Emmi[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f])

Looking for opinions! [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like the name? Why/why not? What impression does it give? Etc.

I love it. My partner mostly likes/loves it (his actual words were: “you can twist my arm on that one”)

Emmanueline - long, elegant, sounds gorgeous and we both love the meaning.
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] - for [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f], a family name (after two Aunts)
[name_f]Grace[/name_f] - one of my partner’s favourite names, but too common for us to use as a first.

Thanks Berries!

Emmanueline is too long and complicated for me, and sounds made-up. [name_f]Emmanuelle[/name_f] [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] or [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] would be beautiful though! And I don’t usually like [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], personally. [name_f]Emmi[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is a sweet nickname. It’s great that you’ve found a combination that sounds beautiful and is meaningful at the same time.

Emmanueline is a bit of a mouthful, but the sound is absolutely lovely! It has all the elegance of [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] with the softness of [name_f]Emilie[/name_f]. It’s certainly an unusual name, but it doesn’t seem totally alien, especially with a common nickname like [name_f]Emmi[/name_f].

I also love [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]/[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] and [name_f]Grace[/name_f] (partly because they both have connections to beloved family members of mine, but also because they both sound beautiful). So I think this combo is a go!

I can hardly say the first name-I find it too difficult to pronounce!

[name_f]Emmi[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is a nice name to go by, but I much prefer it spelled [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] as you looks more complete this way.

Emmanueline is a bit of a mouthful for me. 11 letters alone in the first name is a little too much.

I love the suggestions above of [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f].

What about [name_u]Emerson[/name_u]? Also long but [name_f]Emmanuela[/name_f], [name_f]Emmanuella[/name_f], and [name_f]Emmanuelle[/name_f].

I love [name_f]Emmanuelle[/name_f], but I agree that Emmanueline feels a little over-the-top. Emmanueline [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is a gorgeous combo, and I love that it honors people, but I think I might simplify it to [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] or [name_f]Emmanuelle[/name_f], too.

(However, it really annoys me when I get the same advice–“But _______ is the name I love!” I grumble–it happens all the time with [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]! (What about [name_f]Isadora[/name_f]? What about [name_f]Isabeau[/name_f]? I think it would sound better as [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]. [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]'s too popular!)–so if Emmanueline is the name you love, why not? It is super long and a little over-the-top (or maybe quite over-the-top, because I think some think of [name_f]Emmanuelle[/name_f] itself that way), but it’s still gorgeous, and if you and your partner love it, I think that’s really all that matters, honestly.)

Good luck!

It’s a bit complicated. I would also suggest [name_f]Emanuelle[/name_f], [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] or [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] which are all very pretty.

I don’t like Emmanueline. I love [name_f]Emmi[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] and [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Emmanuelle[/name_f] or [name_f]Emilia[/name_f]?
