Emvaleigh

SUpposed to be the parents’ compromise between [name_f]Emma[/name_f] & Everli. For a minor character that doesn’t appear much. Usable?

I think it’s usable for a character!

I’m going to move this to ‘Writer’s Corner’ if you don’t mind - I’m sure you’ll get more responses there.

This in in Writers’ corner.

Yes, because I just moved it for you  It was in ‘All About Nameberry’ before.

Oh, I must have misclicked! I meant to put it in the Writers’ corner.

Emvaleigh is cool! However, if it’s for a minor character, I might go with a more generic name, because then you can save that name for a bigger character.

Yes but I think Emverleigh or Emverlie is a better spelling?

It would work for a minor character but I misread it as [name_f]Emmaleigh[/name_f] at first. Seconding Emverleigh/Emverlie.

The spelling is quite confusing, to the point where it’s especially distracting on a minor character. It’s also extremely difficult to say. Stick with [name_f]Emma[/name_f] or [name_f]Everleigh[/name_f] or even [name_f]Emmaleigh[/name_f].

I stumbled over it when I saw it, but it will definitely make the character memorable. Literally anything is useable in fiction

That being said, I am not sure where the “leigh” comes from since your version of Everli isn’t spelled like that. The combo of Emma and Everli, for me, is Emmerli. Which is easy to pronounce since it’s the same as Emily.

Emmerli, that’s even better! Tysm!
