English/Vietnamese name help

A friend of mine has started talking about babies and names with her boyfriend and they’re hitting a major roadblock. His parents only speak Vietnamese and she doesn’t want to give them a Vietnamese name since they would already have his hard to pronounce last name.

She likes “unexpected” names: [name_m]Stone[/name_m], [name_f]Sparrow[/name_f], Acheron, and [name_f]Kimber[/name_f].
The only English names he’s okay with are [name_u]Sam[/name_u] and [name_u]Kim[/name_u].

Any ideas on this one? I’m at a loss.

That sounds like a tough situation. They could always give the baby a Vietnamese middle name and an English first name as a compromise

I’d also suggest a first name that can be easily translated in English and Vietnamese so his parents and family can pronounce it

Maybe something like…

[name_m]Beau[/name_m]
[name_u]Lane[/name_u]
[name_u]Jude[/name_u]
[name_u]Kai[/name_u]
[name_u]Camden[/name_u]
[name_m]Leo[/name_m]
[name_m]Kane[/name_m]
[name_m]Anders[/name_m]
[name_u]Ember[/name_u]
[name_m]Odin[/name_m]

[name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Delta[/name_f]
[name_f]Calla[/name_f]
[name_u]Wren[/name_u]
[name_f]Enna[/name_f]
[name_f]Aria[/name_f]
[name_f]Zara[/name_f]
[name_f]Vada[/name_f]
[name_f]Nola[/name_f]
