I currently sitting here watching the NASCAR Xfinity Series on TV and they just announced that NASCAR driver Josh Williams and his wife welcomed their baby girl this week and her name is Ettalynn I really love it but what do you think the name I don’t know her middle name.

I don’t like it but I can defs see the appeal / why others would. As a smush it works. Has a very southern [name_f]Belle[/name_f] feel to me.

not sure about this one. normally I like smush names usually, but something about this one puts me off…idk.

i think it’s pretty! it reminds me of ethelyn, which i love!

@9Faith3 I like it! I love [name_f]Etta[/name_f] on its own, so I think I prefer that. I my reminds me of [name_f]Evelyn[/name_f], which surprisingly isn’t for me. But I definitely see the appeal of [name_f]Evelyn[/name_f]. Ettalynn also makes me think [name_f]Adelyn[/name_f] and [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f], and I like those. I think I’d prefer the name spelled Ettalynne for some reason. I can also see it as as a first and middle combination [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_f]Lynn[/name_f] or a double barrel name Etta-Lynn, which would also work without the hyphen.

I agree with the previous poster who said it sounds [name_m]Southern[/name_m]. I’m not from the south, but I do love names that have that sound. Overall, I really do like the name!

I am a sucker for any name with [name_f]Etta[/name_f] in it :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: I feel like this name has a cool balance of vintage and modern. The only issue is I can imagine it getting confused with [name_f]Adalyn[/name_f] a lot!

I like the sound of it - but I think I’d like a different spelling? Etta-Lynn, Ettaline, Etteline - not sure? But it is sweet.

(I glanced on Instagram and her mother, Trazia [name_f]Rae[/name_f], called her Ettalyn [name_f]Rae[/name_f] - not sure if [name_f]Rae[/name_f] is Trazia’s surname though or middle…)
