I automatically think of the Chronicles of [name_f]Narnia[/name_f]. I personally don’t see it as being particularly wearable (in the US) today.

It reminds me of [name_f]Narnia[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] but maybe also a teeny bit of the word useless…but that could be that was what I heard as a kid when I read the books and it’s stuck in my brain.

It gives 19th-century, aristocratic vibes.

This, sorry! [name_f][/name_f] Unless this is what you’re going for!

I think [name_m]Justus[/name_m] is another great option, if that concerns you… can be said like [name_m]Eustace[/name_m] (German pronunciation), but also just like [name_m]Justice[/name_m]. [name_f][/name_f] I find [name_m]Justus[/name_m] more visually appealing, but do have an affinity for both because of [name_m]Eustace[/name_m] Scrubb.

I prefer Clarence… maybe some might dislike this as well.
[name_f][/name_f]I think [name_m]Eustace[/name_m] is too foreign too me. To me it has same vibes as [name_m]Boniface[/name_m].

It reminds me of the island Sint Eustatius. [name_m]Eustace[/name_m] seems a bit old fashioned but it has a charming edge.

I love it, I think it’s so charming and handsome!! But I’m not sure it’s quite ready for a revival yet. It could be made more wearable by the right middle, something that gives compound or initial nickname options, such as

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_m]Eustace[/name_m] [name_m]Jude[/name_m] nn EJ
[name_f][/name_f][name_m]Eustace[/name_m] [name_m]Robert[/name_m] nn [name_m]Erie[/name_m]
[name_f][/name_f][name_m]Eustace[/name_m] [name_m]Damien[/name_m] nn [name_m]Eddie[/name_m]
[name_f][/name_f][name_m]Eustace[/name_m] [name_m]George[/name_m] nn Eugie
[name_f][/name_f][name_m]Eustace[/name_m] [name_m]Thornton[/name_m] nn [name_f]Ether[/name_f]

[name_f][/name_f]

I’ve also, after typing this out, realised that [name_m]Ace[/name_m] could be a possible nickname, too (along with [name_f]Stacy[/name_f], but I think that skews far enough feminine in most places now that it might not be wearable on a little boy)!! I also agree with the above commenters, my first thought was [name_m]Eustace[/name_m] from [name_f]Narnia[/name_f], but it’s my second favourite series ever and the character gets great development, so it’s 100% a positive association for me.

Overall I really love the name [name_m]Eustace[/name_m], and I hope he’s amongst the next grandpa-style names to get a revival!!

It makes me think of the Chronicles of [name_f]Narnia[/name_f] character and that puts me off… :grimacing:

As a medical person I just see eustachian tubes. Sorry
