[name_f]Eva[/name_f] [name_f]Luna[/name_f] sounds lovely to me, I love the fact that it is a word game with [name_f]Evelina[/name_f].
I am a spanish native speaker, I live in france so it is pronounced:
Eh-vah [name_f]Luna[/name_f] (spanish and french)
It is not (ee-vah, a-va)
I have [name_f]Evelina[/name_f] and [name_f]Luna[/name_f] in my top ten, but I once heard a mom adress her child as [name_f]Eva[/name_f] [name_f]Luna[/name_f] at a store and I fell in love with this composed name:
Evaluna + middle name I think it is too charged…
[name_f]Eva[/name_f] (fn) [name_f]Luna[/name_f] (mn) is just perfect.
She could go by [name_f]Eva[/name_f] or [name_f]Luna[/name_f], she could use her full name (as people are used to say [name_f]Evelina[/name_f])
nn [name_f]Lu[/name_f], Lunita (little [name_f]Luna[/name_f]), [name_f]Lulu[/name_f], [name_f]Evie[/name_f]
{She has so many choices}
My only concern:
Is it too cutesy? Too of a “pretty” name?
Thank you!
Evaluna is beautiful! I don’t think Evaluna or [name_f]Eva[/name_f] [name_f]Luna[/name_f] is too cutesy or “pretty” at all, though I personally don’t think there is such thing as too “pretty”.
[name_f]Eva[/name_f] [name_f]Luna[/name_f] is one of my favorite books by Chilean author [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] Allende. She’s a wonderful, colorful and awesome female character and for that reason I have always loved the brilliant combination of [name_f]Eva[/name_f] [name_f]Luna[/name_f]. I think it’s a name that travels well, works wonders in Spanish, [name_m]French[/name_m], Italian and in other romance languages I believe, even in English it travels well! Would love to see someone use this name for a little one.
Yes! It is a sweet literary name, I feel [name_f]Eva[/name_f] [name_f]Luna[/name_f] is very true to my Venezuelan origins, [name_m]Even[/name_m] the book by Allende is set on a town inspired on Venezuela (where [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] lived several decades) I love [name_f]Eva[/name_f] [name_f]Luna[/name_f], I don’t think it needs and hyphen or an extra middle name…
It is precious.
[name_f]Eva[/name_f] [name_f]Luna[/name_f]
I would love to name my daugter this
[name_f]Eva[/name_f]: So classic, spanish, three letter, E (I love E names)
[name_f]Luna[/name_f]: Natural, hippy-ish, spanish name, Soft sounding…
Thank you so much!
I think it’s beautiful! The name flows well and has a beautiful imagery. I like both [name_f]Eva[/name_f] [name_f]Luna[/name_f] and Evaluna, though I agree Evaluna + middle name is too much. It’s also wonderful that it honors your origins!
I love it. It’s great that it works in multiple languages. I like that you could call her by both names.
[name_m]How[/name_m] would you name a little baby sister for [name_f]Eva[/name_f] [name_f]Luna[/name_f]? (I don’t want anything related to the moon, sun, stars, sky…if it is then very subtle)
I love [name_f]Noa[/name_f], It is my favorite name for a girl when I was 6! HAHA!
[name_f]Eva[/name_f] [name_f]Luna[/name_f] & [name_f]Noa[/name_f] (what for middle?) It musn’t be too long…
ideas:
[name_f]Noa[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]
(I like this because of [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] Allende, but it is so similar to [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] and I can’t stand such name)
[name_f]Noa[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f]
(Sounds very french to me)
[name_f]Noa[/name_f] [name_f]Carolina[/name_f]
(like [name_f]Carolina[/name_f] Herrera)
[name_f]Noa[/name_f] [name_f]Silvie[/name_f]/[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]
(I love this name to death, no seriously I may like this name so much that I’ll never use it just because xD, [name_f]Noa[/name_f] [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] doesn’t flow well, but [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] is a guilty pleasure of mine…)
[name_f]Noa[/name_f] [name_u]Carmen[/name_u]
(My grandma’s name :D)
[name_f]Noa[/name_f] [name_f]Brisa[/name_f]
(breeze in spanish, such a cute name)
I like that both names have 3 letters!
If not [name_f]Noa[/name_f], then what other ideas you have for [name_f]Eva[/name_f] [name_f]Luna[/name_f]'s sister? Picture a curly haired blonde/light brown girl as we are both blondish and I had curls like [name_f]Shirley[/name_f] [name_u]Temple[/name_u] as a child, DH also has curls. Thank you!
