Eva Victoria Faith?

Opinions? [name]How[/name] do you pronounce [name]Eva[/name]??? As “[name]Ava[/name]” or as “EE-Va” ?? [name]Do[/name] you think [name]Eva[/name] is a “frilly” name? [name]How[/name] does she fit with [name]Sophie[/name] [name]Claire[/name] & [name]Sarah[/name] [name]Katherine[/name]?? If you wanted it always pronounced “[name]Ava[/name]”… would you just use that spelling??? [name]How[/name] does she stand up to [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Joy[/name]??
Thoughts? Thanks!!

I have an [name]Eva[/name], so I’m biased, but I love the name. Everyone pronounces it EE-va. I think it is beautiful, simple, and feminine without being overly frilly. If you want the pronunciation [name]Ava[/name], you should spell it that way or expect constant misunderstandings. I think [name]Eva[/name] fits in well with all the other names you mentioned.

I definitely pn [name]Eva[/name] as EE-vah. If you want it pn the other way, go with [name]Ava[/name]. I love [name]Ava[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] [name]Faith[/name] - my name and my grandmother’s name is in that combo ;). [name]Eva[/name], [name]Ava[/name], and [name]Victoria[/name] are all frilly to me - and I love frilly names.
[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Joy[/name] probably wins my vote though because it is less common than [name]Ava[/name], and it is beautiful.

If you want [name]Ava[/name] then definitely spell it [name]Ava[/name]. Very pretty name!

[name]Ava[/name] is too popular for me right now. Might be different where you are though, I’m in Australia. I would go with [name]Susannah[/name] in a hot minute, personally.

I like the [name]Eva[/name] spelling, and I would pronounce it [name]Ava[/name]. [name]Eva[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] is lovely but [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Joy[/name] matches the S sisters better! [name]Joy[/name] is an awesome middle name! Its a tough choice!

I pronounce [name]Eva[/name] as EE-va. I know some people pronounce it [name]Ava[/name], but if you’re going for that pronunciation, I’d go with [name]Ava[/name]. I think [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Joy[/name] fits better with [name]Sophie[/name] [name]Claire[/name] and [name]Sarah[/name] [name]Katherine[/name]. [name]Eva[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] [name]Faith[/name] is very pretty, but has a different sound to it.

I pronounce [name]Eva[/name] as Ee vah and this pronunciation works much better with your surname than [name]Ava[/name].

EE Va. I love it! So much better than the overused [name]Ava[/name].

In my head, AY-vah, haha. Mainly because I love the sound of AY-vah but not the look of [name]Ava[/name], and I know it’s a common pronunciation in many cultures–Hispanic, French, [name]German[/name], etc.–but if I ever had to say it out loud to guess, in [name]America[/name], at least, I would guess EE-vah, mainly because I’m about 99% sure that’s the preferred pronunciation here. But no, if I ever decided I wanted the AY-vah pronunciation, I would still definitely spell it [name]Eva[/name]! I really hate the [name]Ava[/name] spelling, tbh. It seems trendy (a bit like [name]Alivia[/name] as opposed to [name]Olivia[/name]), and I’ve heard that [name]Ava[/name] [name]Gardner[/name]'s name was created when she emerged in Hollywood because they thought the [name]Ava[/name] spelling was more unique and glamorous and memorable in Hollywood as opposed to [name]Eva[/name], and up until that point, [name]Eva[/name] was pretty much said both ways pretty equally. So [name]Eva[/name] just seems more classic to me–not sure if that story is true, but anywho, haha.

I really like [name]Eva[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] [name]Faith[/name]. It’s a bit too “V”/“F” heavy for me but it’s still very pretty and regal! I think [name]Sophie[/name]-[name]Claire[/name], [name]Sarah[/name] [name]Katherine[/name], and [name]Eva[/name] are pretty together, although I vastly prefer [name]Eve[/name] to [name]Eva[/name], personally. I like [name]Sophie[/name], [name]Sarah[/name], and [name]Eve[/name]/[name]Evie[/name] more than [name]Sophie[/name], [name]Sarah[/name], and [name]Eva[/name], too, but I suppose that’s just me.

In Poland we pronounce it EH-vah. Like [name]Ella[/name] with a V. Perhaps this pronunciation appeals to you?

I have a niece named [name]Eva[/name]. My sister prefers the “Ee-vah” pronunciation but it does have a tendency to get pronounced “Ae-vah” or “Eh-vah.” I think it’s a beautiful name.
