So I adore the name [name_f]Evadne[/name_f]. It’s one of many girls names I have been crushing on even more lately.
[name_m]How[/name_m] does [name_f]Evadne[/name_f] sound with my girls’ names? They are [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] and [name_f]Ondine[/name_f]. I’m not one to be too worried about sibsets and styles, but I’m not sure how it sounds.
And what middle names would you use?
I have some brainstormed:
[name_f]Evadne[/name_f] [name_f]Dulcinea[/name_f] (too D heavy?)
[name_f]Evadne[/name_f] [name_f]Julieta[/name_f]
[name_f]Evadne[/name_f] [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f]
[name_f]Evadne[/name_f] [name_f]Paloma[/name_f]
I think [name_f]Evadne[/name_f] fits really well with your daughters’ names. Of your middles I like [name_f]Evadne[/name_f] [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] the most! Maybe [name_f]Evadne[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] or [name_f]Evadne[/name_f] [name_f]Adele[/name_f]? I tend to gravitate towards shorter middles myself so maybe not your style, but I hope that’s a little helpful.
[name_f]Evadne[/name_f]‘s great! Sweet, unique, interesting and with the familiar nickname [name_f]Evie[/name_f] to make it more usable.
I think it works really well with your daughters’ names too! My favorite combo is [name_f]Evadne[/name_f] [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] but I think you could do better. I’d pick a more familiar name or just a name that’s easier to spell (so no to [name_f]Julieta[/name_f] in this case)
I like [name_f]Adele[/name_f], that’s very pretty! Never considered it before but I do like it. I do seem to prefer longer middle names but that isn’t a conscious decision, it just happens to be that way.
I just love it! Ev- names seem to be so popular right now but I have yet to meet an [name_f]Evadne[/name_f], it is so neglected! I love [name_f]Anthea[/name_f], [name_f]Pomeline[/name_f], [name_f]Azalea[/name_f], [name_f]Althea[/name_f], [name_f]Juno[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucia[/name_f]. [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] is actually on our middle name list. Somehow I didn’t consider it for [name_f]Evadne[/name_f] but it works beautifully. Thank you!
I adore the nickname [name_f]Evie[/name_f]. It’s so adorable. [name_f]Julieta[/name_f] is a family name, but I am considering adjusting the spelling if I use it, or just going for [name_f]Juliette[/name_f]. But in the middle spot, I may just keep it as [name_f]Julieta[/name_f], even though I know many would spell it wrong.
Is it pronounced like ee-VAD-ne or like EVADE-ne? I do think it works with your daughters, I would just probably prep yourself for clarification on pronunciation, but once people learned it, I think it’s a really lovely, different name.
The former: ee-vad-nee. It doesn’t bother me too much that people will pronounce it wrong at first, people struggle with our girls’ names sometimes, but I also don’t want her to have too much trouble so that is something I will definitely think about. Thank you!
