Also what do yaw think of [name]Artemis[/name] and [name]Estelle[/name]?

[name]Eve[/name] - so lovely! Simple, elegant, timeless and always ignored in favor of [name]Ava[/name] etc.
[name]Jane[/name] - again, simple and elegant, and rarely used as a fn now. I’m always reminded of the lovely [name]Jane[/name] [name]Bennett[/name] from Pride and Prejudice, too.
[name]Artemis[/name] - (for a boy) a nice name, classical and a good alternative to [name]Arthur[/name], but a lot of people might associate it with the [name]Artemis[/name] Fowl books (I’ve never read them, I vaguely recall that they are for teenagers, so I don’t know if this is a good or a bad thing).
[name]Estelle[/name] - this sounds tacky to me, but a lot of people seem to like it. I quite like [name]Estrella[/name] (ess-tray-a) as an alternative, (it’s the Spanish for ‘star’), but there would be pronounciation issues, and it would always be misread as [name]Estella[/name] :frowning:

I think [name]Eve[/name] and [name]Jane[/name] would go well with virtually any mn, but a couple which I particularly like and haven’t been mentioned are :

[name]Eve[/name] [name]Seraphina[/name]
[name]Eve[/name] [name]Rosanna[/name]/[name]Rosamund[/name]
[name]Eve[/name] [name]Miriam[/name]
[name]Eve[/name] [name]Valentine[/name]
[name]Eve[/name] [name]Cecily[/name]
[name]Eve[/name] [name]Frances[/name]
[name]Eve[/name] [name]Celeste[/name]
[name]Eve[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]

[name]Jane[/name] Ottillie
[name]Jane[/name] [name]Constance[/name]
[name]Jane[/name] [name]Ivy[/name]
[name]Jane[/name] [name]Violet[/name]
[name]Jane[/name] [name]Miriam[/name]
[name]Jane[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name]
[name]Jane[/name] [name]Cecily[/name]
[name]Jane[/name] [name]Frances[/name]
[name]Jane[/name] [name]Daphne[/name]
[name]Jane[/name] [name]Dorothy[/name]/[name]Dorothea[/name]
[name]Jane[/name] [name]Lydia[/name]
[name]Jane[/name] [name]Persephone[/name].

[name]Love[/name] [name]Estelle[/name]! [name]Don[/name]'t think it’s tacky! Some names get kind of tacky, and then hardly anybody uses them. Then they percolate for awhile, resuface, and voila! They are suddenly hot! Reminds me of volcanoes that erupt, then become dormant, then erupt again.

[name]Estelle[/name] [name]Blanche[/name] - this is amazingly gorgeous!
[name]Estelle[/name] [name]Diamond[/name]
[name]Estelle[/name] [name]France[/name]
[name]Estelle[/name] [name]Mauve[/name]
[name]Estelle[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]
[name]Estelle[/name] [name]Sparrow[/name]

[name]Glad[/name] you liked some of my [name]Eve[/name] and [name]Jane[/name] combos. [name]Eve[/name] and [name]Jane[/name] are fun to work with!

I love both [name]Eve[/name] and [name]Jane[/name]! They are simple yet classic and strong. [name]Eve[/name] [name]Liliana[/name] sounds beautiful to me.

Thank you all!

I would only use [name]Artemis[/name] for a girl. It sounds like a girls name and is the name of a goddess.

[name]Love[/name] [name]Eve[/name] and [name]Jane[/name], especially [name]Eve[/name].

I absolutely love the name [name]Eve[/name], it is beautiful, enchanting, timeless, has a great nickname ([name]Evie[/name]) and is just an all around fantastic choice  And [name]Eve[/name] also sounds great with a variety of middle names and goes nicely with a lot of styles of middle names, etc. All in all, i love it!

I like both [name]Eve[/name] and [name]Jane[/name]. I would have to say [name]Jane[/name] would be my favorite. [name]Jane[/name] [name]Catherine[/name] is beautiful.

I love [name]Eve[/name]! It has everything going for it. It is beautiful, spunky, timeless, and sophisticated.

I love the name [name]Eve[/name]. There’s a little girl in my [name]Sunday[/name] school class named [name]Eve[/name] and she’s so cute. Perfect choice. Good luck!

[name]Estelle[/name]: It’s been growing on me, and I’m actively working on disassociating it from [name]Estelle[/name] Getty, [name]Sophia[/name] on The [name]Golden[/name] Girls. I love [name]Estella[/name]!

[name]Artemis[/name]: I do see its appeal, and while I can see it in the middle, I think I’d do a “Huh?” if I heard it as a first name on an actual little girl. (I’d get used to it, of course, but it’s a long way from [name]Jane[/name] and [name]Eve[/name]!)

Good luck, [name]Bree[/name]!

I’m really loving [name]Jane[/name]. It does remind me of [name]Jane[/name] [name]Austen[/name] and [name]Jane[/name] [name]Bennett[/name] from Pirde and Prejudice (she was so beautiful!) and thats my favorite movie!

What do you think of these?

[name]Jane[/name] Artemisa
[name]Jane[/name] Wilhemina
[name]Jane[/name] [name]Catherine[/name] (maybe to plain? [name]Katherine[/name] was my great grandmother)
I still love [name]Jane[/name] Dandelion
[name]Jane[/name] [name]Elodie[/name]
[name]Jane[/name] [name]Estrella[/name]
[name]Jane[/name] [name]Pandora[/name]
[name]Jane[/name] [name]Mathilde[/name]

[name]Eve[/name] & [name]Jane[/name] are classics that I think age really well. They have the potential to be [name]Evie[/name] and [name]Janie[/name] as nn when younger. To me they are beautiful and respectable names.

Thank you, I agree

I just love [name]Eve[/name]… beautiful sound, simplicity, and connotations of “the first woman.”

Unfortunately we already have an [name]Ava[/name] in the family, hubs went out with an [name]Eve[/name] once, and our last name is one syllable, so it’s never going to happen.

[name]Jane[/name]… personally I find this one boring, think of it as the generic name, “[name]Jane[/name] [name]Doe[/name],” and that would put me off. But I can see a very sweet little [name]Jane[/name], so who knows?!
