Hello!
I’m a first time mum, expecting a baby due Feb 2017. Although we don’t know the gender yet, we’ve been discussing potential names for both boys and girls.
For a girl I love [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]. [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] seems to mean (depending on the source) hazelnut or wished for child, and I love the vintage feel of the name. [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] is a family name and our surname is a traditionally English one syllable name ( like Woods)
What comes into your mind when you think of this name?
Thanks guys!!
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] is beautiful. I adore both names and adore the nicknames [name_f]Evie[/name_f] and [name_f]Evvie[/name_f]. I am surprised I do not see the name [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] more often.
Beautiful combination, and love the nn [name_f]Evie[/name_f], a great choice!
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] is beautiful, I absolutely love the name [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]!
Thanks everyone
my husband especially loves [name_f]Evie[/name_f] as a nickname, perhaps [name_f]Eve[/name_f] for a teenager. [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] isn’t too popular in my area at the moment either! I definitely think we’ve found our girl choice!
[name_u]Love[/name_u] it. A gorgeous combo. [name_f]Evie[/name_f] is such a sweet nickname.
When I saw [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], I immediately thought of [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], the mother of the protagonist in [name_f]Evelina[/name_f] but I am certain that most people would not get that reference.
