Ever

Why is this trending so much today on the “most popular names today” cloud?

I can understand most of them–they’re usually either [name]Berry[/name] favorites or have something to do with celebrities–but where did [name]Ever[/name] come from? Does anybody know?

I’m just insanely curious, lol. I also thought people might be looking at it as a girls’ name, but it’s just showing up as a boys’ name? Still, I don’t have a clue what could be going on to make people so curious about [name]Ever[/name]…

I think that’s the name that [name]Alanis[/name] Morissette chose for her baby boy; but I’m pretty sure that that was several months ago, so I’m not sure why it’s tending now.

[name]Jane[/name]

Not sure where it came from. I don’t think it sounds very masculine, but it could make a good NN for [name]Everett[/name] maybe

Yeah, I know, like, where could it have come from? I rarely hear [name]Ever[/name] talked about for a boy at all. If anything I hear it discussed for a girl, or as a nn for Everleigh, or just Everleigh in general. People have suggested it as a nn for [name]Everett[/name] when I decided to add it to my list, but I didn’t think it was that widespread that it was the most searched name on Nameberry today… it’s so weird, lol!

It may depend on how the computer program tracks “most searched.” Does it follow how many times a name is actually typed in to a search box, or does it count how many visits a page gets per day? If it is the latter, a lot of people might have clicked the name from a forum discussion – enough to get it to show up on the popularity box – and from there people noticed it in the cloud and clicked on it too.

I really think that clicks from the cloud must count, otherwise how does [name]Katniss[/name] keep hanging on? Sometimes a name is so weird you just have to go see what [name]Pam[/name] and [name]Linda[/name] commented about it!

Yeah, I don’t understand [name]Katniss[/name] still being up there either.

I know [name]Ever[/name] Banega, who plays football in [name]Valencia[/name], just renewed his contract until 2015 but I don’t think there are that many [name]Argentina[/name] fans or [name]Valencia[/name] fans who would search the name on here

I was watching Toddlers and Tiaras on [name]Wednesday[/name] night and one of the main girls names was [name]Ever[/name] [name]Rose[/name]. I don’t know if that had anything to do with it or not though.

[name]Ever[/name] doesn’t sound like a boy name to me, and although I could see it working for a girl, I don’t think I would choose it.

There’s a couple of celebrity kids named [name]Ever[/name] and [name]Everly[/name]/Everleigh, so maybe that’s it?
@ [name]Lucy[/name]: Frankly, I’d be surprised if [name]Katniss[/name] and other Hunger Games names weren’t getting attention, what with the movie getting ready to come out in a couple of months. There’s already a [name]Baby[/name] [name]Berry[/name] with the MN Finnick, so why not a little [name]Katniss[/name]?

IDK but can you imagine how confusing it would be to have a name thats also a commonly used word? Or how many “have you ever [name]Ever[/name]” jokes the poor kid would hear?

It might just be because of where I am but I have no idea what Hunger Games is

I’m slight spellbound by the name [name]Everard[/name] and [name]Everhart[/name] (nn [name]Ever[/name]).

The Hunger Games is a popular young adult novel: The Hunger Games - Wikipedia or for spanish version: Los juegos del hambre - Wikipedia, la enciclopedia libre

There is a movie version of the story coming out soon and it was listed in People magazine recently as the most anticipated film of the year, even topping The Dark [name]Knight[/name] Returns and The Hobbit.

Me too! Too Germanic for my DH though, he liked related [name]Everett[/name].
