We finally decided on baby girl’s name! Woohoo! I keep seeing it spelled with “leigh” which I do like on some sweet names … but don’t think it’s for THIS name. Just seems so long… We prefer Everly but don’t want to later keep seeing this and wish we had gone with “leigh” so needed to reassure myself
Personally, there aren’t many “leigh” names that I like. I know a sweet Kinleigh, and I like it on her. [name_f]Everleigh[/name_f] does look too long, I’d for sure go with [name_u]Everly[/name_u].
I really like the spelling Everlie, too.
[name_u]Everly[/name_u], 100million%.
[name_f]Everleigh[/name_f] looks really tacky to me, sorry.
Congrats tho! i like [name_u]Everly[/name_u] a lot.
I prefer [name_u]Everly[/name_u] but that’s pure personal preference. I like -ly and -ley over -leigh every time.
I’ve seen it both ways, it’s a lovely name. I like it better [name_u]Everly[/name_u].
SSA Ranks
[name_u]Everly[/name_u] 383
[name_f]Everleigh[/name_f] 865
I definitely prefer [name_u]Everly[/name_u], much more simple and classy
I prefer [name_u]Everly[/name_u], but don’t mind [name_f]Everleigh[/name_f].
Definitely [name_u]Everly[/name_u]!
[name_u]Everly[/name_u]!!! [name_u]Love[/name_u] it!
[name_u]Everly[/name_u] for sure. More timeless. [name_f]Everleigh[/name_f] is trendy.
I much prefer [name_u]Everly[/name_u]. [name_u]Everly[/name_u] is sweet, spunky, and pretty. [name_f]Everleigh[/name_f] to me is overly dramatic and cheaper/immature (for lack of better words) looking.
[name_u]Everly[/name_u] x 1 million.
[name_u]Everly[/name_u] is beautiful, please use that spelling.
[name_u]Everly[/name_u]!!!
I love [name_u]Everly[/name_u]! Not a fan of [name_f]Everleigh[/name_f], looks sort of tacky [name_f]IMO[/name_f]. [name_u]Everly[/name_u] is much better!
[name_u]Everly[/name_u] for me. I really dislike -leigh spelling of names, they just seem tacky.
[name_u]Everly[/name_u], time a million.
Basically, what pacifica said.
I like [name_u]Everly[/name_u].
[name_u]Everly[/name_u] is more sweet and simple.
I agree with most posters. The [name_u]Everly[/name_u] spelling is less cumbersome and doesn’t lend itself to mispronunciation.
(I confess that for awhile, I used to think [name_u]Leigh[/name_u] as a name was pronounced [name_m]Lay[/name_m]. It’s possible there are other people out there who think that too and would say her name Everlay, which - well, can lend to a lot of teasing.)
Plus, when you look at [name_u]Everly[/name_u] vs [name_f]Everleigh[/name_f], the first spelling just looks right.
