Evita

Is [name]Evita[/name] too much of a one person name?
I once knew someone (other than [name]Eva[/name] Peron) with the name so I don’t think so, but what is the general opinion? Would you use it?

[name]Eve[/name] is one of my favorite names, but when I look at [name]Evita[/name] I see Evite. Maybe [name]Yvette[/name] or [name]Yvetta[/name]?

[name]Evita[/name] is one of my favorite names! I would use it on our daughter, but my husband thinks that anyone who saw her name before meeting her would assume she’s Hispanic (which I think is silly). I also shy away from it because of the popularity of [name]Eva[/name]/[name]Ava[/name]. But it is such a beautiful name!

It’s silly to have it as a full, formal name. [name]Eva[/name] is very pretty though.

Thanks!
It’s a name I’ve always liked as a full formal name and a nn for [name]Eva[/name] and it seemed to work for the girl I knew, but now when I mention it people don’t seem to think it’s suitable as a name. But I do tend to like some unusual names that some might consider not suitable for a child… Though I didn’t think [name]Evita[/name] was one of them.

I want to like it but the association with [name]Per[/name]ón is too strong and I consider it a negative one.

It’s a pretty strong association.

I wouldnt use it as a complete formal name, but I do think it’s usable as a nickname (maybe just a home pet-name) for an [name]Eva[/name].

Musical aside, she was not the best namesake. It simply means ‘little [name]Eva[/name],’ a cute childhood nickname.

I actually saw Evite instead of [name]Evita[/name]…so not really liking it

My little cousin is 6 years old and her name is [name_f]Evita[/name_f] [name_f]Malee[/name_f].

She has an assortment of nicknames and people like saying her name. Its a beautiful and and it suits her very well. I am surprised its not used more often
