[name_m]You[/name_m] may have heard [name_f]Candace[/name_f] [name_m]Cameron[/name_m] Bure is expecting not one but two grandchildren! One from her daughter [name_f]Natasha[/name_f] and son in law [name_m]Bradley[/name_m] [name_m]Steven[/name_m] [name_m]Perry[/name_m], and another from her son [name_m]Lev[/name_m] and daughter in law [name_m]Elliott[/name_m]. I’m excited what names they choose for their kids! I hope [name_m]Lev[/name_m] and [name_m]Elliot[/name_m] choose a Russian name to go along with the Bure surname, as the Bures are a famous Russian family, and I think it would be cool to keep the Russian theme going, just like [name_f]Candace[/name_f] did. If they choose a Russian name, I also hope they use the patronymic middle name.
As far a [name_f]Natasha[/name_f] and [name_m]Bradley[/name_m], I don’t see them choosing a Russian name. I can see them choosing something unique or old fashioned.
[name_f]Any[/name_f] guesses of what they may choose?
(Note, I get Bure has been controversial due to her political views, but this post is not meant to stir up)

I’m excited for [name_f]Candace[/name_f] as well! I think it’s hilarious (in a good way) that she wants to be called CandyGram. I don’t know her kids personalities enough to know too much how they’ll sway. Isn’t [name_m]Levi[/name_m] in ministry? I could see him throwing a biblical nod to the name. As for [name_f]Natasha[/name_f], maybe it’s because she’s good friends with [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] but if I had to guess I see her leaning more to the trendy names then something unique.
His name is [name_m]Lev[/name_m], not [name_m]Levi[/name_m]. It’s the Russian form of [name_m]Leo[/name_m]. I don’t know exactly what he does, I think he is the manager of their winery as well as preaching occasianly. Maybe they choose a Russian biblical name, such as [name_m]Ilya[/name_m] or [name_m]Matvey[/name_m]. However since he was born here they may not want to.
Unfortunately , what a grandma is called is up to the kids.
I dont see the Russian influence being some big pull for either of them but time will tell.
I think in the end grandchildren ultimately decide. Speaking from experience. But where she has such a close knit relationship with her kids I don’t see her kids having much of an issue. But again time will tell.

Funny enough, the Bures (Pavel and [name_m]Valeri[/name_m]) are actually ethnically Swiss, but their family lived in [name_f]Russia[/name_f] for centuries so they are considered Russians, the same way I am ethically Scottish but my family has lived in [name_m]America[/name_m] for centuries so I am considered American.
I hear everything you’re saying. You seem especially passionate about your opinion on their potential name style choices. I commented to offer my take as one who has been a life long Bure fan not to stir up dissension. Just because Candace and her husband have certain name style leaning doesn’t mean I agree that’s where her children will lean. That said, I don’t agree with everything you’re leaning toward and at this point we’re going to agree to disagree on where we feel they’re two children will for names. It’s just names. It’s ok to disagree and that’s where we’re going to end with this. Like I’ve already said time will tell.
I just think it would be cool. I won’t be angry if they don’t.
For a while, I looked up too this family as well as her brother Kirk’s because they seemed like the perfect American [name_m]Christian[/name_m] family. I’ve lost interest in them, but all I ever knew about them was through Facebook. I don’t actually know what they think of their Russian heritage.
Wow, the title of this makes me feel old.
She’s only 50. I’ve known several women who are already grandmothers in their fourties’. My aunt is Candace’s age and she became a Grandmother at 47. Honestly I don’t consider someone old till their in their 70s
