We are struggling to come up with a name for a 4th girl. Right now our top contenders are [name_f]Alice[/name_f] and [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]. What are your thoughts between the two?
Our other daughters are [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], [name_f]Isabel[/name_f], and [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]. Is there one you think goes better with the sibset?
Both [name_f]Alice[/name_f] and [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] are great but I think [name_f]Alice[/name_f] fits slightly better with your other girls. Has the same gentle, vintagey vibes. I’m also a fan of sibs having different initials, so [name_f]Alice[/name_f] also gets extra points for that for me.
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f], [name_f]Isabel[/name_f], and [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] are so lovely! They feel so perfect with the trendy names, yet don’t strike me as overly trendy. I think [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] fits this profile so perfectly, and I like that it too doesn’t end in “e” like [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]. [name_f]Beautiful[/name_f] names!
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]! [name_f]Alice[/name_f] is so sweet and I love her, but I saw [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], [name_f]Isabel[/name_f], and [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and instantly thought Cecilia… and then saw it was one of your contenders! [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] is my happy place; she’s perfect with your other girls!
I prefer [name_f]Alice[/name_f] of the two, and do think it fits best with big sisters names. Also, with [name_f]Alice[/name_f] all four girls would have different initials which is nice.
Alice & Cecilia are both great picks!
Like previous commenters, I also like sibsets with different first initials, but Caroline & Cecilia don’t start with the same sound, which I think makes having the same initial (even) less of a big deal.
I do like that Alice is also of French origin, like your other 3 daughters’ names, which is a neat similarity.
Alice would be my favourite, but I do love Cecilia & think that either would make a great fit.
I think [name_f]Alice[/name_f] goes better with your other girls names. The fact that they all start with a different letter ( S, then I, then C, …) makes me believe that having an additional child with a first letter that is also all their own would look better in the case of this group rather than another girl who has a first letter of C. For some reason I find the pairing of S, I, C, & C to be unflattering to look at and I just view it as being a missed opportunity for her to have her own unique initial which may sound dumb but it’s how I feel when it comes to naming siblings.
I really like to not repeat beginning initials or ending sounds if at all possible when selecting sibling names. As far as name compatibility, I feel [name_f]Alice[/name_f] is the more classic of the two names and better suited to the great names you’ve already chosen.
S0phie, Is@bel, C@roline and [name_f]Alice[/name_f]
PS If you choose [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] you not only repeat a beginning letter with C@roline, but a beginning sound with S0phie.
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] for sure. [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] shares an initial with one sister and the same beginning sound as another. [name_f]Alice[/name_f] is more individual.
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] would be a wonderful choice! She’s just as gorgeous as your other daughters names! I love that [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] don’t start with the same sound either
Both are lovely, but I lean toward [name_f]Alice[/name_f] both individually and in your sibling group. [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], [name_f]Isabel[/name_f], [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] & [name_f]Alice[/name_f] are such a lovely set of sisters!
