My husband and I found out a few days ago that we are in fact expecting twins. Our newest additions will be joining their older siblings, [name]Declan[/name] [name]Josiah[/name] and [name]Laurel[/name] [name]Grace[/name].
For boys names I have my heart set on [name]Lachlan[/name] [name]James[/name] and [name]Silas[/name] [name]Jonathan[/name]. I settled on [name]Lachlan[/name], rather than [name]Brennan[/name] because my husband adores this name. Hubby hates [name]Jonathan[/name], so maybe another suggestion for a middle name for [name]Silas[/name]? Also I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Tristan[/name], but he vetoed…
For girls we both love the name McKayrin, is it to out there to be paired with our older two children’s names? Any middle name suggestions for McKayrin?
Hubby wants a girl named [name]Felicity[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name]… While I like [name]Felicity[/name] I would prefer [name]Evelyn[/name] in the middle name spot. Any suggestions?
Thank you so much for helping us to find the perfect names for our babies!
Mckayrin is not cute at all [name]IMO[/name]. Your kids have beautiful names and [name]Lachlan[/name], [name]Silas[/name] and [name]Felicity[/name] are wonderful names so I feel like the clunky and trendy mckayrin goes SO far off track from your naming style. It doesn’t fit.
[name]Lachlan[/name] and [name]Declan[/name] are way too close. I would switch it out with [name]Brennan[/name], [name]Levi[/name] or [name]Lucas[/name]. [name]Levi[/name] [name]James[/name] would be my pick. You could also push [name]Lachlan[/name] to the middle spot, [name]James[/name] [name]Lachlan[/name] sounds great, but I love the alliteration of [name]Lucas[/name] [name]Lachlan[/name].
Other than that I love [name]Silas[/name] and [name]Felicity[/name], not too keen on McKayrin.
Looking at your list, [name]Silas[/name] [name]Donovan[/name] would be awesome as a [name]Jonathan[/name] alternative.
[name]Felicity[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name] and [name]Felicity[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name] both sound great. I personally like [name]Evelyn[/name] more, but maybe [name]Evelyn[/name] would be nice as an alternative to McKayrin?
[name]Felicity[/name] and [name]Evelyn[/name] would fit right in with the other siblings
I agree that McKayrin seems very surnamey and common (like [name]McKayla[/name], [name]Kayla[/name], [name]Kaylin[/name], [name]Mackenzie[/name], [name]McKenna[/name]…) compared with [name]Declan[/name], [name]Laurel[/name], and other potentials ([name]Silas[/name], [name]Lachlan[/name], [name]Felicity[/name], etc). I would put it in the middle: [name]Felicity[/name] McKayrin? [name]Elinor[/name] McKayrin? I like both [name]Felicity[/name] [name]Elinor[/name] and [name]Felicity[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name] equally… rock, paper, scissors, haha? Between the two, I might go with [name]Elinor[/name] if only because [name]Felicity[/name] and [name]Evelyn[/name] sound more similar than [name]Felicity[/name] and [name]Elinor[/name], which share sounds but don’t sound too close. But both are nice.
Other ideas:
[name]Willa[/name] McKayrin or [name]Willa[/name] [name]Felicity[/name]
[name]Alice[/name] McKayrin or [name]Alice[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name]
[name]Lucille[/name] [name]Felicity[/name] or [name]Lucia[/name] McKayrin
[name]Molly[/name] McKayrin or [name]Molly[/name] [name]Elinor[/name]
[name]June[/name] [name]Elinor[/name] or [name]June[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name]
[name]Vera[/name] McKayrin or [name]Vera[/name] [name]Felicity[/name]
[name]Juliet[/name] McKayrin or [name]Juliet[/name] [name]Louise[/name]
Since you asked, though, I would pair McKayrin with a feminine vintage name like her siblings’ FNs. With almost all of these, I think the names sound better swapped in place, though…
McKayrin [name]Elise[/name]
McKayrin [name]Felicity[/name]
McKayrin [name]Opal[/name]
McKayrin [name]Louise[/name]
McKayrin [name]Elizabeth[/name]
McKayrin [name]Luce[/name]
As others have mentioned, I don’t see McKayrin fitting in with your other kids’ names. [name]Declan[/name], [name]Laurel[/name], [name]Lachlan[/name], [name]Silas[/name] and [name]Felicity[/name] are all wonderful.
What draws you to McKayrin? If its the sound combo, what about something like [name]Maura[/name] [name]Karine[/name]? or some other M K combo.
Laclan [name]James[/name] and [name]Silas[/name] [name]Jonathan[/name] would be gorgeous if you didn’t already have a son named [name]Declan[/name]. [name]Lachlan[/name] and [name]Declan[/name] are way too close for brother’s. [name]Silas[/name] is a lovely choice, maybe [name]Silas[/name] [name]Jacob[/name], [name]Silas[/name] [name]Owen[/name], [name]Silas[/name] [name]Maxwell[/name], [name]Silas[/name] [name]Jack/name or [name]Silas[/name] [name]Andrew[/name]?
[name]Declan[/name], [name]Laurel[/name], [name]Noah[/name] & [name]Silas[/name] would get my vote, if [name]Noah[/name] is still up for contention! [name]Noah[/name] [name]Brennan[/name] & [name]Silas[/name] [name]James[/name]?
I love [name]Felicity[/name], it fits perfectly with [name]Declan[/name] and [name]Laurel[/name], as does [name]Evelyn[/name]. [name]Felicity[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name] sounds better than [name]Felicity[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name].
I don’t understand where McKayrin fits in with the your children’s names or the names on your lists? You have such a lovely style but then this trendy, made up, masculine, cre8ive name pops up… I don’t get it?! I really, really, really don’t like it and urge not to consider it when your other children will have such gorgeous names!
[name]Declan[/name], [name]Laurel[/name], [name]Felicity[/name] & [name]Eleanor[/name] would be utterly perfect, then you could have [name]Felicity[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name] and maybe [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Carys[/name]?
My husband and I met a young girl named McKayrin and fell in love, perhaps with the child more than the name now that we’ve talked about it more. Hubby still insists on [name]Lachlan[/name], with [name]Silas[/name] as his first choice only because I actually like [name]Silas[/name]. I see the similarity between [name]Declan[/name] and [name]Lachlan[/name] though, hopefully I can convince him!
Maybe I can get him to compromise because I gave up [name]Tristan[/name]. [name]Do[/name] you have any suggestions for me to ask him about that are similar to [name]Lachlan[/name]?
I like [name]Felicity[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name] and [name]Evelyn[/name] [name]Carys[/name], the only thing is [name]Carys[/name] is our nieces name. My sister in law knew I wanted to use if for our next daughter but used it anyways, so now I feel like it’s off limits. I guess it’s like a guilty pleasure name. We had picked the name [name]Carys[/name] [name]Olivia[/name] before our niece [name]Carys[/name] [name]Abigail[/name] was born. We’re together a lot so I don’t feel it would be a good idea to have two girls named [name]Carys[/name] in the family. What do you think of [name]Evelyn[/name] [name]Natalie[/name]?
I think [name]Silas[/name] [name]Lachlan[/name] is a very fine name.
[name]Evelyn[/name] [name]Natalie[/name] doesn’t have the same optimal flow as [name]Evelyn[/name] [name]Carys[/name]. [name]Just[/name] like [name]Carys[/name], you want a 2-syllable name with the stress on the first part of the word. Some thoughts, from a variety of styles, demonstrating the rhythm:
With [name]Declan[/name] and [name]Laurel[/name], I like [name]Silas[/name] and [name]Felicity[/name] best from your list. I agree that [name]Lachlan[/name] is a little too close to [name]Declan[/name]. [name]Felicity[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name] and [name]Felicity[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name] both work well. Since [name]Evelyn[/name] is pretty close to [name]Declan[/name] in sound though, what about [name]Felicity[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name] and [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Natalie[/name] or [name]Natalie[/name] __ (maybe [name]Arwen[/name]?) for GG twins?
In all the time that I’ve studied the names on our list I’ve never made the comparison of the “L’s”! Strange! Now that I realize it though I’d like to keep it going. I love the suggestion of [name]Silas[/name] [name]Lachlan[/name]. It would be a good compromise on [name]Lachlan[/name] which, my husband is a huge fan of.
If we went with [name]Evelyn[/name] she’d likely be called [name]Evie[/name], which takes away the same sounding as [name]Declan[/name]. I like [name]Evelyn[/name] [name]Natalie[/name] or [name]Evelyn[/name] [name]Naomi[/name]…
For [name]Felicity[/name] we’ve decided on [name]Felicity[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name], if that is the combination we decide to go with. I think hubby is leaning towards [name]Levi[/name] [name]James[/name] now… He forever changes his mind!
