Writing a story about modern fairy tales. I chose some names but there is a lot of characters. Here’s what I’ve chosen so far:

Sleeping [name_f]Beauty[/name_f]: Eislyn
[name_f]Rapunzel[/name_f]: [name_u]Wren[/name_u]

Okay, this I should be overqualified for. But honestly some fairy tale characters have names that can be hard to change… however, here, have me rambling about a range of characters from a list of fairytales and how I’d name them, and maybe it’ll be useful? I don’t know what characters you’re using, so it’s gonna be some hit-and-miss.
(I like [name_f]Lina[/name_f] and [name_u]Wren[/name_u], but how would one pronounce Eislyn, exactly?)
[name_u]Fire[/name_u] based names for [name_f]Cinderella[/name_f], obviously! Okay, I just looked this stuff up for my own retelling plans (not [name_f]Cinderella[/name_f], it’s for Snow-White and Rose-Red), and [name_f]Aithne[/name_f] is what I chose for that, but it’d probably work just as well on a [name_f]Cinderella[/name_f] character. Alternatively, Serafina/Seraphina, or maybe [name_f]Calida[/name_f] if you’d rather them share the initial. Maybe [name_u]Ash[/name_u], or some variant… I stumbled on a list of names linked to ‘clarity’, which could be argued to represent the glass slippers, so let me check the list… possibly [name_f]Claire[/name_f] or [name_f]Clara[/name_f]? [name_f]Clarissa[/name_f]? [name_f]Crystal[/name_f] and [name_u]Diamond[/name_u] are a little more on-the-nose, rather like [name_u]Ash[/name_u], but they’re still options.
[name_u]Red[/name_u] Riding Hood is always fun. Scarlet/t is pretty obvious, as are [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] and Garnet… actually, there’s a lot of easy options for this one. I like using [name_u]Rowan[/name_u], Jasper’s a possibility, and one of my favourite ideas I’ve ever used is Corsen, which is a Welsh name that’s got something to do with reeds according to the research I have done. Possibly [name_u]Holly[/name_u]? [name_u]Or[/name_u] more word names? [name_u]Crimson[/name_u], [name_u]Carmine[/name_u], Cherry/Cerise, etc. [name_f]Poppy[/name_f]? All the million variants of [name_f]Rose[/name_f] – I quite like [name_f]Rhoswen[/name_f], but there’s plenty out there.
[name_u]Snow[/name_u] White. Somewhat fun, but it can be tedious too. Winter’s pretty obvious. Maybe [name_u]Frost[/name_u], though that may work better if your character is either male or non-binary, I don’t know. I stumbled on [name_f]Flykra[/name_f], which means ‘snowflakes’, but I’d rather put this one on the [name_u]Snow[/name_u] [name_f]Queen[/name_f] (by [name_m]Hans[/name_m] [name_u]Christian[/name_u] [name_u]Andersen[/name_u]) instead of [name_u]Snow[/name_u] White. [name_f]Isolde[/name_f] is pretty cool. [name_f]Crystal[/name_f] is a possibility here too… uh, [name_f]Aneira[/name_f] or [name_f]Eira[/name_f]? [name_u]Or[/name_u] maybe focus on the ‘white’ part? [name_f]Fenella[/name_f], [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], [name_f]Opal[/name_f], Alba… this list could go on for a while, I think!
[name_f]Beauty[/name_f] and the Beast! Well, Rosabelle/Rosabel is pretty simple. Alternatively, [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] or [name_f]Roselyn[/name_f], or if we want to focus on the beauty aspect there’s [name_f]Astrid[/name_f], Alana/Alina, [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f], [name_f]Aoife[/name_f], [name_f]Cosima[/name_f], [name_u]Rumi[/name_u], [name_f]Nomi[/name_f], [name_f]Indira[/name_f], [name_f]Tove[/name_f], [name_f]Venus[/name_f] at a stretch, [name_f]Calla[/name_f], [name_f]Ceridwen[/name_f], [name_f]Anwen[/name_f], Callista… you know, most of these are A and C names… which is honestly quite funny. The Beast probably does actually need a name from time to time, and honestly I have a grand total of one idea – [name_u]Auberon[/name_u].
The [name_m]Little[/name_m] Mermaid’s storyline brings [name_f]Calliope[/name_f] as a possible idea, or [name_f]Ceridwen[/name_f] could fit here as well. [name_f]Coralie[/name_f]? [name_f]Sereia[/name_f] or [name_f]Serena[/name_f] or [name_f]Thalassa[/name_f]? Laelia…? I don’t have a ton of ideas here, honestly. [name_f]Althea[/name_f] or [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] or [name_f]Astraea[/name_f] or Avalon…? [name_f]Nerissa[/name_f], [name_f]Nephele[/name_f], [name_f]Maelys[/name_f]?
And I’ve gone through most of my list of fairy tales, I guess. I still have The [name_u]Snow[/name_u] [name_f]Queen[/name_f], 12 Dancing Princesses, [name_m]Hansel[/name_m] and Gretel… which are all better established than some others I have, and all annoying. I’ve tried 12DP before, and dear goodness it took ages to name anybody.
(I also realise I have no idea if this is what you were asking… but I hope so.)
