just out of curiosity for everyone…how old was everyone when the had each of our kids? i had mabes at twenty-one and i’m now twenty-three with my second bubba!

i’m afraid i’ll be adding one more baby to the group of babies joining over here!
i did not expect my second post to be our baby announcement! well here we are…

on friday the 17th of may at 1:22am we welcomed our second little bub! our iddy biddy baby boy was born weighing 6lbs 1oz a whole pound bigger then bellie was! his birth was for sure quite the experience…luckily i married a doctor. we were having a dinner party, we had a few of my husband’s colleagues over. he works in cardio but thank gosh he invited his friend who works in ob as she ended up delivering our sweet boy! she was going to deliver him anyway, just wasn’t planning to do so on my bedroom floor!
even if his arrival wasn’t the easiest we’re super exited for you to meet…

chase reuben shepard

his first name is a name we really love, i also love the sound of mabel and chase! i think it’s such a sweet name, and it suits him so perfectly! he very much looks like a chase. reuben is after my husband, rupert! ru loves his name but very much wanted it to stay his so we decided reuben would be the perfect compromise name. this is his first baby so having his name in there was important to me. shepard is from the same place that mabel’s second middle name is from (mabel delilah meredith) greys anatomy! i’m a complete grey’s addict (in real life too) and derik was always ru’s favourite character! meredith was mine so when i was a single mum and got to name mabel, she got her name and it only felt the same for chase!

our sweet little bub is so welcome into our sweet family, mabes is already the best big sister! i’m so shocked that i’m a mum of two already - i feel far too young! anyway both kiddos are doing great; bellie is adjusting well to her baby brother and baby brother is adjusting to the world outside the womb. i feel so happy with my sweet family!

anyone have any nickname ideas for chase? we have a few, chay, chay chay and chasey but that’s it! we have so many for mabes so i feel kinda bad, any ideas?

@melia22 ahhhh congratulations!! chase is adorable! love his name! what a crazy arrival! we had a slightly similar experience with tulls - aside from the fact that we got to the hospital in the nick of time - creds to you! mabel and chase are adorable together as for nicknames: chuck, chi chi, ace, chaso, race?! not really sure! the ones you have are gorgeous. we are the same will knox. tully has so many and even banjo now has more than him! they will come around eventually - it must be something to do with the one syllable names! re your question: i had tully at twenty-two, knox at twenty-four and now i am twenty-five with three kids! i was not expecting to be a mummy so soon but i wouldn’t change it for the world.

not much has been happening our end. we have had a very slow last couple of days, getting used to having three and learning to juggle an eleven month old and a newborn, but life has been fun! knox has adjusted so so so well to banjo, the transition has gone better than i could’ve imagined. tully loves being a big sister again, she wants to help out with both of her brothers as much as possible. yesterday when they were both sleeping (miracle!) she came out of the playroom and asked if we could ‘wake ban ban and knoxy up’ so she could play with them my girl really was made to be a big sister.

yesterday we also went to the park behind our house, it was the first time as a family of five! we are trying to soak up the last few days before we head into winter here. we were planning on going down to the beach but it was closed because the surf was too rough and, the water temp has definitely dropped in the last week! tullsy was so sad that we couldn’t go, she is such a happy girl and even happier at the beach! we still had a lovely time at the park though.

knox will be one soon and only a week later tullsy will be four! crazy! we are thinking we will do a small party for both of them, but nothing has been fully planned yet. i wanted to do a big joint birthday but since we have banj who will only be a little over a month old, that might have to hold off until next year!

question, are anyones kids super tall? when i dropped tully off at kindy the other day, i realised that she was pretty tall compared to all of her friends, and at play group i noticed how tall knox was when he was standing up. i had never really noticed until then! harvey is 6ft 4, and im 5ft 8 so we knew they would be tall but didn’t think that we would see it so early!

hi everyone! life with a newborn has been different with a newborn however not different bad. i had the most lovely lunch just the four of us, we went out to mabel’s favourite little cafe with the woods in the back. she loves the woods as she calls it her ‘enchanted fairy woods’; she could run and play for hours in there. our sweet waiter took this photo of us which i had to share, our first photo as a family of four.

mabel is adjusting so well to her baby brother, she has these sweet little kisses that she ‘saves’ for him. i definitely have found that since chay has been born she has become a lot more clingy to me and my husband. she’s such a daddies girl and my husband ru has definitely proven to be the best ever daddy to her. he didn’t need to bring her into his life and he did, however mae gained the most amazing daddy and i couldn’t ever be more grateful. mabes has recently found a love in playing with mama’s makeup, her favourite is lipgloss!! yes maybe somethings it is a bit messy and all her clothes are stained red. though this is her childhood, and i need for her to enjoy it!

chasey is doing well, he’s putting on weight very nicely as he should be. he latched nicely, though we’re both getting used to the breastfeeding side of things! he’s a complete little bubba, he’s so small, cuddly and soft. he is part of whom makes our house feel like a home! and having him here and earth side is a blessing and having our little rainbow baby here is so wonderful.

it hasn’t been long since i updated so i will make this short!

today it is knox’s first birthday! this has been one crazy year for my little guy. from getting dressed up every day by his big sis, to becoming a big brother at almost eleven months - knox has pretty much seen it all! he is the chillest, smiliest little baby, an angel who makes the world go round. we all love your white blonde hair, blue eyes and massive heart so so so much! happy first birthday to the coolest guy ever!

we were going to have a party for knox, but the other day he started getting a bit sick! he wasn’t too good, we ended up in the hospital, just because of his age, but he is ok now. i think we will make next year extra special for him because right now it is a bit crazy with him and banjo!

@CherryBomb50 Yes, we do!! Fridays are family movie night but Saturdays are family game night (and honestly the kids tend to prefer game night!!) And thank you! I’m definitely a little worried about the ten-year age gap between Teddy and baby #5, but my own sister is eight years younger than me and we have always gotten on so well, and I’m hoping that’s what they experience too!

@oakbelle Welcome Banjo!! He is so sweet and I love his name!! Banjo has long been on my GP list but I’ve never been brave enough to use it. It has such an amazing sound!! And happy birthday Knox, he is a cutie! We will definitely be at the girls’ birthday!!

And to answer your question, I was 24 when I had Teddy and I’ll be 34 when this last baby is born… a year short of a “geriatric pregnancy,” which is good, because if they started calling me that I’d feel like an old lady.

SO many births around here lately - it’s only making me more excited to meet our last baby! I just hit seven months and the morning sickness is finally starting to go away. By far the worst I’ve had with any of the kids! Makes me grateful it’s my last one, haha! I’m also having tons of headaches lately and have been SUPER tired. We’ve scheduled a c-section for 38 weeks (I’ve had so many c-sections by now that a VBAC isn’t really an option anymore) so I just have to make it until then! It’ll be so worth it to hold baby in my arms.

August turned six!

I’m about a month late on this update, but our little redhead is six!! He has become super moody lately, it’s like having a little teenager. He’s still his same kind, thoughtful self, but he’s definitely an introvert and gets overwhelmed often, and he feels his emotions really deeply! Gus was born via emergency c-section after 26 hours of labor and was definitely my hardest birth. I’m hoping baby #5’s birth goes much smoother!

Sadie turned four!

Sadie turned four a few weeks ago! She is the most compassionate, gentle little girl. She loves baby animals and baby humans, and she genuinely does care for others. She has a crazy level of empathy for a four-year-old! She made me the sweetest Mother’s Day card at preschool, too!

@melia22 Aww congratulations! Chase is adorable! I was 18 when I had the twins, 22 when Alton was born, and now of course Merrily at 26. The lipstick thing is honestly so real. The girls are in dance, so once a year, they get to get dressed up for their recital. The first few days afterward they always beg to wear makeup. Sometimes I just let them until they forget about it!
@oakbelle I’m glad your family is getting to have some slower days with a new little one. Awww, that’s such a bummer for getting sick. Happy Birthday to Knox, though! We’ll be there!

Hello everyone!
Our days have been fairly restful. My little bud turned three! Very bittersweet of course! He’s always been my little youngest, but now he’s a middle. Nonetheless, we’re happy to be entering a new chapter of being a family!

As for Merrily, she’s settling in so well. The girls love her and have been helping me (taking turns of course) to pick outfits for her. Alton has been giving her all of the cuddles he can manage. We all adore her and can’t wait to see who she’ll be.

hi everyone, nice to meet you, im isabella, I’m twenty four, married to nico and a mama of two!!

venice isabella my special three year old who always makes my heart melt! she has the sweetest laugh, loves playing outside with her younger brother and her friends and her favourite place is the beach. she loves visiting our country house in tuscany and riding her pony, daisy. she is starting school next year - we live in london. i will be so sad to let her go during the days, but i will love having little car rides to and from school singing our favourite songs together!!

luca thomas my one year old boy, is bubbly and brilliant second child who I love so so much! he plays football with nico every day in our back field (although he’s one he knows exactly how to kick a ball - even after falling down and laughing 100s of times!!). he loves making friends with the little children on our street and always wants to socialise.

i am due to have twins in 6 months! their names will be oscar and electra, with their initials making the word “LOVE” - [name_m]Luca[/name_m], [name_f]Venice[/name_f], [name_m]Oscar[/name_m], [name_f]Electra[/name_f]

hi there! nice to meet you all. i have been reading about your families and i have been waiting to start posting about my own for a while! my name is kaia and my husband lucas and i have three kids, and i am five months pregnant with our fourth. we live in canggu, bali so we spend a lot of our time at the beach, surfing, building sandcastles, snorkelling and reading! luc and i are both aussie, but and we have lived in sydney, geneva and costa rica until we moved to bali two and a half years ago!

my eldest is my seven year old, marlow thomas. marley and i have pretty much grown up together. i had him when i was eighteen and he has been the light of my life since then. he is the sweetest, smiliest little boy and he has a heart bigger than anyone else that i know. he is the best big brother. marls loves surfing, playing with his friends and reading!

next is my five year old trouble maker wolf rafferty. wolfie loves playing with his brother, being cheeky and playing footy and surfing! he is such a sweet little boy and like his brother, he truly lights up every room he goes into. wolfie loves building things and making up games, as well as playing sneaky little tricks on everyone!

posie winslet is my youngest and only girl. three year old po is the smiliest, giggliest and sweetest little girl. her and marlow especially are two peas in a pod and she looks up to both of her brothers so much. posie loves building sandcasltes, surfing with her dad and dressing up as princesses! her favourites are belle, aurora and moana.

So hey, I’m [name_f]Tamara[/name_f] aka “Zannie’s kid” – well one of them, actually the youngest of them! I’m 25 so I’m not a baby no more though my older siblings always tell me their experiences of being older siblings when I entered the picture, haha.

I GRADUATED!! Aaaahh! I graduated from nursing school! I am officially an RN – REGISTERED NURSE!

Of course my eldest brother [name_m]Damien[/name_m] got new balloons to commemorate! I’m so grateful for him and I’m so happy for this new chapter of my life! This has been my childhood dream (other than being a fairy but hey) and this is finally the day it comes true! Have any of you gotten your dream jobs? Have any of your kiddos had dreams of what they wanted to be when they grew up? It’s okay if it’s unrealistic, I wanted to be a fairy growing up and my other niece [name_f]Christine[/name_f] seems to want that for herself.

While I graduated from nursing school, I’m not the only one graduating this year! [name_f]My[/name_f] niece [name_f]Zella[/name_f] is practicing for kindergarten graduation in two weeks and she’s so excited!

She just got the cap and gown, it’s sky blue: her fave colour! She’s loved sky blue and is tired of people calling blue a “boy colour”. She likes pink too so she didn’t mind the pink stuff as a baby but she’s glad she’s “old enough to not be mistaken for a boy” when she wears blue. She’s the daughter of my brother [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] and his husband [name_m]Nyle[/name_m], both being very progressive, so they don’t put labels on colours.

[name_f]Zannie[/name_f] knows I’ve wanted to post though I’ve been pretty shy about this. I swear you all sound so experienced and sometimes I get nervous getting into stuff for the first time. You all have such a warm and caring vibe and that’s why I’m happy to finally post, even if I planned to do so sooner. I’ve been caught up with my studies in nursing alongside the break-up with my less-than-stellar ex…womp womp. I was so glad to have so much to be happy for and thanks to anyone who comforted me during that split. I’ve been doing so much to keep myself happy. It wasn’t easy but it’s all for good. I’ve gotten on a good path and things only look up from here.

Charlotte July

Charlotte is the sweetest little girl. She’s about 4 and a half and let’s just say, she has a TON of energy! She goes by ‘Loie,’ “Low-ee” since she likes the uniquness of it, but she sometimes goes by ‘Lottie.’

She officially became a part of our family on Tuesday! (though she was already a part of our family.)

Her name

All of our girls middle names are a month of the year, (April, May, and June) so we wanted hers to also be the same. Her middle name was Zoe, but she was up for changing it. We’re absolutely so glad we did! Their names also end with a ie/y sound, so Loie and Lottie are perfect!

We’ve spent a LOT of time explaining to him that we will only love him even more when baby is here and I’m planning on some one-on-one time with each kid in the coming weeks just to make sure they all still feel special!

It’s been a busy few days over here! I’d been having such terrible headaches for a few weeks, but I wasn’t really thinking much of it, just typical pregnancy woes, right? Well, on [name_f]Wednesday[/name_f] I started having terrible abdominal pain and the worst headache yet. [name_m]Will[/name_m] suggested I go to the hospital and make sure baby and I were ok, and I agreed, since I felt terrible! We went to the ER around 10 pm - our neighbors are SO kind and agreed to watch the kids for the night.

Well, it turns out I had pre-eclampsia and really high blood pressure. They gave me some medication and magnesium via IV and sent us back for an emergency C-section at 1 in the morning. At 1:14 am we met our fifth and final baby!

[name_m]Rufus[/name_m] was born at 36 weeks and 3 days! He weighed 6 lbs 4 oz and is stunning and healthy. We are both still in the hospital but we are doing magnificently! The boys are very excited that they have another little brother (Sadie was hoping for a sister - sorry, Sadie!)

The kids spent today with [name_m]Will[/name_m] at [name_m]Tully[/name_m] and Mabel’s birthday but are coming to meet their new baby brother tonight, which meant I got to spend the day just getting to know little [name_m]Roo[/name_m]!

hey guys! how is everyone? we have had a pretty crazy week!

marlow and wolfie were obviously at school. they go to an international one which is only about twenty-five minutes away from our house and they love it. they both play a lot of soccer and do a lot of swimming and surfing as well. we try go for a surf every morning before school and they just love it. posie goes to a preschool at their school twice a week and she loves it there too.

remember how i said wolf loves building and fixing things? yesterday the wheel on his little scooter stop working after he was riding it down the street and he quickly ran inside saying ‘mummy, mummy, i know how to fix my scooter!’ and he sat down for forty-five minutes, trying to fix the wheel, using his little toolkit that we got him for his birthday. he is the cutest thing ever and so, so determined. i jut love seeing his little mind at work!

po and i have been having a lot of one on one time recently before the baby comes. it has been so nice, but little girl is just growing up so quickly. yesterday we went to do some shopping and get a yummy lunch and we went to some kids yoga on the beach after a swim!

just a normal day over here!

we decided to throw away our christmas tree as it was falling apart and generally we’d prefer just to get a real tree every year instead of using a fake one. mabel was being so cute all day!! she’s looking so sweet in this.

this is a sweet little bubba! we had a one week appointment, he’s super healthy and gaining weight nicely. all that yummy breastmilk has let him gain five ounces in the last week with him currently weighing 6lbs 6oz. we’re do glad for him doing as well as he is.

Hey everyone! So nice to meet you all. I’ve been reading all about your families for a while now but have been procrastinating posting on my own, so here it is! [name_f]My[/name_f] name is [name_m]Poe[/name_m] [name_m]Vanya[/name_m], and I’ve been happily married to my wife [name_f]Niamh[/name_f] for a good while now. We have two sweet little ones and I’m eight months pregnant with our third. Our family lives in a small town in the [name_f]Shenandoah[/name_f] valley – I’m a park ranger. We adore hiking and spending time outdoors together! [name_f]Niamh[/name_f] and I really want to raise our family to love nature.

our eldest, [name_f]Enya[/name_f] [name_f]Clemency[/name_f] [name_f]Dove[/name_f] is 5 years old. she’s quite the handful! [name_f]Enya[/name_f] loves staging photo shoots. (the photo above is the product of one!) Our life wouldn’t be the same without her. She’s always getting into things and making messes, but aren’t those always just happy accidents? [name_f]Enya[/name_f] is our creative girl and a wonderful big sister. She aspires to be, as she puts it, “a fancy rich painter!!”

here’s our current youngest, [name_m]Kit[/name_m] [name_m]Lucian[/name_m] [name_m]Montgomery[/name_m]. [name_m]Kit[/name_m] is our gentle little man, the calm to Enya’s constant storm. He loves rabbits, and we go to the farm down the way from our house all the time so he can visit them. We’re hoping to get a pet rabbit once he’s older. [name_m]Kit[/name_m] loves to be read to and always enjoys playing make-believe with [name_f]Enya[/name_f]. He’s going to be such a kind big brother soon. His gentle nature makes him perfect for the job!
