Falak

What does everyone think of this name? Not from the perspective of usability, but rather in general.

[name_f][/name_f]

It’s pronounced ‘fuh-luk’ with equal stress on both syllables. (The second syllable is like the [name_f]English[/name_f] word ‘luck’.)

[name_f][/name_f]

It’s derived from an Arabic word meaning ‘sky’ and often used in the sense of ‘heaven’ as well. It’s a unisex name, but I’m asking about it as a girls’ name here. It’s usually used by Muslims in different parts of the world, including several in [name_m]South[/name_m] [name_f]Asia[/name_f].

[name_f]An[/name_f] alternative spelling is [name_f]Falaq[/name_f], but [name_f]Falak[/name_f] is much more common and I like it better.

The meaning is really appealing and powerful and I like the sort of ‘flick’ it has when you say / hear it.
