I was going through my family tree and came across some interesting names. [name_m]Just[/name_m] wondering if anyone else has some fun names in their family. Here are my family names:
[name_m]Beaumont[/name_m] and Wolstan are amazing names! When my mum started building our family tree on Ancestry, we quickly discovered that 80% of the men in our family are called [name_m]John[/name_m], [name_m]William[/name_m], [name_m]John[/name_m]-[name_m]William[/name_m] or [name_m]William[/name_m]-[name_m]John[/name_m]! Goodness knows how they kept track of them all.
Man I wish I could look thought my family tree properly. The only ones I know are;
[name_f]Katherine[/name_f]
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f]
[name_m]Ernest[/name_m]
[name_u]Jean[/name_u]
Those are some great names. Bostioun and [name_f]Thankful[/name_f] are super cool! I really like Veanne, it sounds like a more modern name. And [name_u]Kai[/name_u] from the 1700s!! Amazing!
I found a ton of [name_m]John[/name_m]/Jack’s and [name_m]Henry[/name_m]’s in our tree. [name_m]Beaumont[/name_m] and Wolstan were brothers…[name_m]Beaumont[/name_m] was one of a bunch of [name_m]Beaumont[/name_m]’s.
My great-grandmother (born 1895) was named [name_f]Eulalia[/name_f] and her older sister was [name_f]Zenia[/name_f] (they had about eight other younger siblings but they all had much more common names). I also have a lot of really intensely [name_m]German[/name_m] names like [name_u]Christian[/name_u] [name_m]Augustus[/name_m]. One of my grandma’s sisters was named Mardelle, which I’ve always found quite pretty. I come from a very Catholic family and there are numerous sibling groups of 8-12 kids where parents clearly started running out of ideas and reused middle names or gave siblings very similar sounding names (Mardelle also had sisters [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] and [name_f]Mary[/name_f]-[name_u]Anne[/name_u]).
