Farahilde

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] Berries,

I am thinking about a possible sister for my daughter who has a medieval germanic long (3 syllable) name. And Farahilde checks quite a few boxes for me.

What do you think of Farahilde, and what other names do you know which are similar in style?

Thank you!

It’s intriguing. [name_m]How[/name_m] is it pronounced?

I would pronounce it as Fah-rah-hill-duh, but in English I think it would be pronounced as Fair-rah-hild ??

[name_m]How[/name_m] would you pronounce it?

I would say Fah-rah-hill-duh or Fah-rah-hill-dee. Either way it’s very intriguing, and she could be called [name_f]Farah[/name_f] or [name_f]Hilde[/name_f] for short which makes it more accessible.

It makes me think of both Fahrenheit and Formaldehyde. With that said, I don’t think it’s unusable. [name_m]How[/name_m] do you feel about [name_f]Ferelith[/name_f]? Could easily be spelled Faralith.

I like [name_f]Ferelith[/name_f] too! but prefer Farahilde. Fortunately, where I live, we use Celsius

It’s beautiful!!!

I like it!

Thank you!

I would love to hear any further suggestions

Never heard it before, would love to meet one!

I love [name_f]Swanhild[/name_f] and [name_f]Otthild[/name_f] too.
