Psalm and [name_m]Saint[/name_m] are far too religious for me, I’d feel uncomfortable being named something so heavily associated with religion. [name_u]Mason[/name_u] is very trendy and common. [name_u]Reign[/name_u], however, is pretty handsome! I like [name_u]Rain[/name_u] more, but [name_u]Reign[/name_u]'s not bad.

[name_u]Reign[/name_u] and [name_m]Saint[/name_m] are my favourites of the bunch. Cannot believe Psalm is up there lol. I chose [name_m]Saint[/name_m] as my favourite though because [name_u]Reign[/name_u] has too many negative connotations for a lefty like me, i.e. power and control, authoritarian etc. I’d prefer it if it were [name_f]Raine[/name_f] or [name_u]Rain[/name_u]; more my style as a romantic. [name_m]Saint[/name_m] I guess also has some power connotations, but they’re more wrapped in honour so it’s not as bad.

[name_f]Do[/name_f] you have any idea how insane that sounds? When people hear reign or rain they will hear the same word.

I don’t think it’s insane at all. It does have very different connotations when written down. Either way let’s not call people insane.

It was my post to begin with hahaha this is a platform of opinions and people respond to people’s post all the time! I do treat people with kindness and I know who you are I’ve seen you on the platform a couple of times, nice person. I’m a nice person. Instead of getting uncomfortable she should take a moment to analyze where her logic was somewhat illogical. Otherwise people will think like, “I can’t name my child rain because I think of hurricanes and freezing rain and drowning. Now reign would be so much better.” :-?

I mean, people do hold opinions like this all the time?? If that’s their association with the word “[name_u]Rain[/name_u],” it makes sense that they wouldn’t use it for their child. I’ve heard people say they don’t like [name_m]Killian[/name_m] or wouldn’t use [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] because they contain the words “Kill” and “Scar.” People’s personal tastes, associations, and opinions don’t have to be logical or justifiable to anyone else.

Everyone can have an opinion including me, that is the point. You are allowed to have opinion about my opinion it’s fine.
