Favorite Ed name?

I’m sure this has come up in the forums before, but what is your favorite [name_m]Ed[/name_m]- name? [name_m]Edward[/name_m], [name_m]Edmund[/name_m], [name_m]Edwin[/name_m], [name_m]Edison[/name_m], or something else? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think all of them are usable today?

I like [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] best

Mine is definitely [name_m]Edmund[/name_m]. I just really like how it sounds. I think they’re all usable today.

I think they’re all pretty usable but my favorite [name_m]Ed[/name_m] is [name_m]Edgar[/name_m]

My favorite [name_m]Ed[/name_m] name is [name_m]Edmond[/name_m]. I have recently been warming up to [name_m]Edgar[/name_m] though, thanks to Wuthering Heights.

I love [name_m]Edmund[/name_m]!

[name_m]Edward[/name_m]! It is a family name for me, and I adore the nickname [name_m]Ward[/name_m]

I do see the appeal of [name_m]Edmund[/name_m], but I really prefer the lighter feel of [name_m]Edward[/name_m]. I am not a huge fan of the -mund ending, apparently, because I do not care for [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] either. Oh, [name_m]Edgar[/name_m] is interesting… I am liking the quirk of it! But [name_m]Edward[/name_m] still gets my vote.

I love [name_m]Ed[/name_m] names and find them all usable.

[name_m]Edmund[/name_m] is my long time favorite, but I also love [name_m]Ward[/name_m] (full name [name_m]Edward[/name_m] or [name_u]Howard[/name_u]), [name_m]Edwin[/name_m], and even [name_m]Edgar[/name_m] or [name_m]Edgardo[/name_m]. [name_m]Theomund[/name_m] is a particular love of mine, nn Ted or [name_u]Teddy[/name_u].

[name_u]Leslie[/name_u]

I love them all. I have a ton of Edwards in my family, both as firsts and middles. [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] and [name_m]Edwin[/name_m] would be next faves. There’s also [name_m]Edric[/name_m] which I love.

[name_m]Eduardo[/name_m] is my favourite, followed by [name_m]Edison[/name_m]. I find [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] and [name_m]Edgar[/name_m] stuffy, dusty and pretentious, but I’m familiar with a few Edwards of all ages. The only [name_m]Eduardo[/name_m] I know is the cute little Saccone-Joly, he’s adorable which is why I like the name. I’m neutral on [name_m]Edwin[/name_m], I don’t know of anyone with the name so I don’t associate it positively or negatively.

Definitely, [name_m]Edward[/name_m].

I love [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] from reading too much [name_f]Narnia[/name_f] as a child. [name_m]Just[/name_m] lots of warm memories.

[name_m]Edwin[/name_m] I like and I’ve met one, it’s less predictable than [name_m]Edward[/name_m] but does feel ‘old’ - I don’t mind that though.

I’m not a huge fan of [name_m]Edward[/name_m] despite it being undeniably classic. It does give you [name_m]Ward[/name_m] as a nick which is nice but I’d probably use [name_m]Ned[/name_m] for any of the [name_m]Ed[/name_m]- names.

As per last poster, I’m a [name_m]Ned[/name_m] fan over most instances of [name_m]Ed[/name_m]/[name_m]Eddie[/name_m].

[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] but would probably use [name_m]Edward[/name_m] b/c [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] a little bit too poncy.

My favorite is [name_m]Edward[/name_m].

My favourite is [name_m]Edward[/name_m].

I don’t usually like last names as firsts, but there’s something about [name_m]Edison[/name_m] that I like.

I go with [name_m]Edward[/name_m] for sure! I love it! The others aren’t bad at all, but to me nothing compares to [name_m]Edward[/name_m]. I would go with [name_m]Eddie[/name_m] as nickname.

For traditional, I like [name_m]Edgar[/name_m]…and [name_m]Edison[/name_m] does sound nice. BUT, my nutty preference would not be traditional. It would be Edge and he could go by [name_m]Eddie[/name_m] or [name_m]Ed[/name_m] if he needed a more conservative option in life.

I adore [name_m]Ed[/name_m] names. Currently, [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] is my favourite, followed by [name_m]Edgar[/name_m], [name_m]Edwin[/name_m] and [name_m]Edward[/name_m], in that order. I love them all. They are all handsome, classic and very usable. [name_m]Ed[/name_m] is my favourite nickname, and we do have a cockatiel called [name_m]Ed[/name_m]. I also love [name_f]Edwina[/name_f] for girls.

[name_m]Edmund[/name_m] is my favorite [name_m]Ed[/name_m] name, along with Edebali, Edgü and Ediz from Turkish names.
