[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.
I’m generally more into official full names with nicknames as nicknames. But there are a few exceptions that I’m cool with as full names.
Boys-
Ari-My kitty cat is [name_u]Artemis[/name_u] nn [name_u]Ari[/name_u]. I love [name_u]Artemis[/name_u] too, but sometimes I do prefer just [name_u]Ari[/name_u]. And it’s Hebrew & means ‘lion’ on its own, which I love both of those aspects.
Alfie-Alfred is fine, but it’s a bit stuffy. [name_u]Alfie[/name_u] is so lovable on its own.
Charlie-I’m a bit over it now, but I used to love the book ‘Perks of Being a Wallflower’ when I was younger. Okay, I still appreciate it! The main character is [name_u]Charlie[/name_u], & seemingly just [name_u]Charlie[/name_u]. I fell in love w/it after reading that book. [name_u]Charles[/name_u] is fine, but too heavy.
Finn-I love just [name_u]Finn[/name_u]. It’s so spunky & sporty & somehow snugly. I also like it as a nn for [name_m]Finnian[/name_m]. But prefer just [name_u]Finn[/name_u].
Jack-On one hand, I find this really nick-name-y on its own. On the other hand, I don’t even think that I like [name_u]John[/name_u]. But I adore [name_u]Jack[/name_u].
Max-I like this on its own, because it’s smart yet adorable. Maxwell/Maximus/Maxime etc are good, but not nearly as good as [name_u]Max[/name_u].
Girls-
Bella-I quite like [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] & [name_f]Mirabella[/name_f], but just [name_f]Bella[/name_f] feels sweet & vintage. [name_f]My[/name_f] mom said that she had a lovely aunt (maybe her great aunt, actually) named this who passed away before I ever met her.
Lilie-I love this one enough to use as a nn or full name. But I like [name_f]Lilie[/name_f] as a full name & [name_f]Lili[/name_f] as a nn.
Mia-My other kitty is [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] nn [name_f]Mia[/name_f]. I love both, & I love [name_f]Mia[/name_f] enough that it works as a full name too.
Tess-I’m so torn on whether or not I like this one on its own or a full name. I like it way more than [name_f]Tessa[/name_f], so it would be silly to use [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] nn [name_f]Tess[/name_f]. I like [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] nn [name_f]Tess[/name_f] though. But [name_f]Tess[/name_f] is sleek & charming, that it seems okay by itself.
