I’m a [name_u]Maria[/name_u], and I never really had a nickname, as [name_u]Maria[/name_u] was short enough! Occasionally, close family called me “Ria”.

I don’t think these names really need nicknames, but since they’ve been around for so long they’ve picked up a bunch through the years
Polly for all of them, not just Mary. 
Also just Polly on her own.
I voted for [name_f]Mimi[/name_f] as a nickname for [name_u]Marie[/name_u], but if I ever had a daughter named [name_u]Marie[/name_u] (with my fiancé), I’d never call her [name_f]Mimi[/name_f] because that would be the grandparent nickname for his mother.
I’m starting to really like Marie especially since it has a history for my family. I think MiMi would be like a “family” nickname. I don’t see it being used by friends or teachers.
I think my favorites across the board are Mae and Ree.
[name_f]Masha[/name_f] is my favorite nickname for [name_u]Maria[/name_u]!
