Favourite Flower Names!

Hello Berries!

Despite not having many on my ‘real life’ list, I have so many flower name GPs :hibiscus:

What are your favourite(s) and why?

P.S. I’ve also been looking out for boy flower names…any suggestions?

[name_f]My[/name_f] favorite would have to be [name_f]Freesia[/name_f]. It’s just so spirited and happy. I like the idea of [name_f]Fifi[/name_f] or [name_f]Sia[/name_f] as NN’s.

For boys, a GP of mine is [name_f]Dandelion[/name_f]. With the familiar [name_m]Dan[/name_m] and strong [name_m]Lion[/name_m] I see it as very masculine. But like I said, total GP as I think it would be hard to wear.

Some nature names I’d say fit more into the “single syllable middle name” trend are;
Roots (like [name_m]Brooks[/name_m], [name_m]Wells[/name_m] and Banks)
Stem (Petal for feminine, Stem for masculine)
Sprig (if [name_m]Leaf[/name_m] is rising, why not Sprig?)
[name_f]Bloom[/name_f] (Blossom is known for girls, why not [name_f]Bloom[/name_f] for boys?)

@Thelovelytri I love the idea of [name_f]Dandelion[/name_f] for a boy! Can definitely see the masculine vibes.

I know Sprigg is a last name…that might get on board before the Sprig spelling :smile: Roots and Stem might be a little longer catching on, but they definitely fit in with the vibe! :herb:

I absolutely love [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] and [name_f]Dandelion[/name_f] for girls. And I think my gp flower names for girls would be [name_f]Morning[/name_f] [name_f]Glory[/name_f] - which I think could work for a boy as well.

And for boys I really like [name_f]Rose[/name_f], something about it gives me a soft, yet strong vibes from it. I also like the idea of [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] for a boy as well.

@shanade213 I adore [name_m]Moss[/name_m]!

So many options I’d never thought of before…thank you!

my absolute favorites are rose and florestan, girl and boy respectively <3

rose is so timeless and lovely, and florestan is so unexpected for a boy but i really love it! florian also comes to mind for something similar, but i really don’t love any more for boys :cupid:

my other loves for girls are posy, fleur(a), lily (though i prefer lillie or lilly), and i’m recently enjoying tansy and bluebell (as a gp)

if i go into very dramatic, guilty pleasure mode then i fancy nightshade as a melodramatic middle name :wilted_flower:

Some of my favourites are [name_f]Marigold[/name_f], [name_f]Lavender[/name_f], [name_f]Viola[/name_f] (as vee-OH-luh; huge crush atm), [name_f]Lilac[/name_f], and [name_f]Calluna[/name_f]. All of which I think sound beautiful, and are unusual, but familiar. And I obviously love purple and yellow :sweat_smile:. I also love [name_f]Margo[/name_f], [name_f]Enna[/name_f], and Via/V as nns for the first three.

For boys I only really have [name_m]Hemlock[/name_m], which is a gp. Also [name_m]Sorrel[/name_m] and [name_f]Sage[/name_f], but I don’t think they count for flowers.
