[name_f]Tahlia[/name_f]
[name_f]Xanthe[/name_f]
[name_f]Isobel[/name_f]
[name_f]Willow[/name_f]
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f]
Chrysanthe or Chrisanthy (which spelling?)
[name_f]Kira[/name_f]
[name_f]Elise[/name_f]
[name_f]Zoe[/name_f]
Please tell me what you think of my favourite girl names. Some I’ve loved for years, others are new loves.
Thanks
I like [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f], [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], [name_f]Kira[/name_f], [name_f]Elise[/name_f] and [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] the best
[name_f]Tahlia[/name_f]- really pretty and feminine, but unique
[name_f]Xanthe[/name_f]- Really cute. I’m usually not one for hard spellings, but I love Z/X names. I probably would do an “ie” at the end though if it were me. Xanthie
[name_f]Isobel[/name_f] - compared to your others it is not my favorite. [name_u]Ever[/name_u] since the [name_f]Bella[/name_f] craze, I am not keen on any kind of -bell names
[name_f]Willow[/name_f]- [name_u]LOVE[/name_u]. I feel like even though this is a “noun name” it still sounds like a real name to me. It is just so pretty
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] - I like this, although I do not like the nn [name_f]Tilly[/name_f] or [name_u]Matty[/name_u]
Chrysanthe or Chrisanthy (which spelling?)- That is just a mouthful [name_f]IMO[/name_f]
[name_f]Kira[/name_f]- I like short names, so I like this one. Feminine and cute
[name_f]Elise[/name_f]- compared to your others, it seems a bit flat
[name_f]Zoe[/name_f]- [name_u]LOVE[/name_u]. and I like this spelling as well. Short and spunky!
[name_f]Tahlia[/name_f] - I like this, and I actually prefer this unique spelling over the more familiar [name_f]Talia[/name_f]. Only, it would cause confusion.
[name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] - this name sounds really sweet and has a lovely, cheerful meaning, but I worry that others will think it’s a warrior-girl type of name like [name_f]Xena[/name_f].
[name_f]Isobel[/name_f] - although this spelling is my favourite, I think it’s too popular compared to the other names on your list
[name_f]Willow[/name_f] - it’s lovely. Very strong but gentle at the same time… much like the tree itself!
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] - a perfect name. [name_f]Tilda[/name_f] is the nicest shortform or nickname, but I think [name_f]Tildie[/name_f] would be really cute, too.
Chrysanthe or Chrisanthy (which spelling?) - I’ve tried to type this name five times and keep making mistakes. I like how romantic it is but spelling and pronunciation is a problem, here. I’d use it as a middle
[name_f]Kira[/name_f] - this is beautiful… again I prefer this unique spelling over the more familiar [name_f]Kiera[/name_f]/[name_f]Keira[/name_f].
[name_f]Elise[/name_f] - not very exciting compared to the other names on this list.
[name_f]Zoe[/name_f] - a good short name, but not as romantic as the other names on this list.
Favourites:
- [name_f]Kira[/name_f]
- [name_f]Willow[/name_f]
- [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]
- [name_f]Tahlia[/name_f]
- [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f]
- [name_f]Isobel[/name_f]
[name_f]Tahlia[/name_f]- I like this name. I think I prefer the look of [name_f]Thalia[/name_f] over this one.
[name_f]Xanthe[/name_f]- Pretty cool, I see it on here a lot but only on here.
[name_f]Isobel[/name_f]- I think it’s pretty, but very close to [name_f]Isabella[/name_f].
[name_f]Willow[/name_f]- I don’t know if it’s the prettiest nature name in my opinion. some beautiful flower names pepper the website that I think tres chic in comparison.
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] - I actually really like this name, she’s got spunk this one.
Chrysanthe or Chrisanthy (which spelling?) - I am a little confused on this one… I think she would be called Chyrsanthumum.
[name_f]Kira[/name_f] - very close to my name.
[name_f]Elise[/name_f] - Beautiful, timeless, elegant, imo.
[name_f]Zoe[/name_f] - My cousin had a crazy cocker spaniel named that so that’s all I see. I feel it’s a bit overrated in the vast wealth of names we have available at our fingertips today.
I do feel [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] and [name_f]Willow[/name_f] aren’t anything like the others. Not a huge amount of flow.
One of the greatest things about this website, and these forums is people come here caring about what their children/future children will carry. The namesake they will carry. If you want spunky, go with [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] or [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]. If you want timeless, [name_f]Elise[/name_f] and [name_f]Isobel[/name_f]. Beautiful, but exotic? [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] or [name_f]Kira[/name_f]. What you see your child as, as a baby, toddler, kid, teen, adult, mom, is whats important.
[name_f]Tahlia[/name_f] - I’m lukewarm on the name [name_f]Talia[/name_f] anyway, but this spelling seems necessarily busy.
[name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] - Absolutely love it.
[name_f]Isobel[/name_f] - I like it.
[name_f]Willow[/name_f] - I love it. I go between [name_f]Willa[/name_f] and [name_f]Willow[/name_f] on my own list, so this is a definite keeper. I have only good associations with it.
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] - [name_u]Love[/name_u] it. I like both [name_f]Tilly[/name_f] and [name_u]Mattie[/name_u] as nicknames.
Chrysanthe or Chrisanthy Not feeling it.
[name_f]Kira[/name_f] - [name_u]Love[/name_u] it. And this is probably my favorite spelling of the name.
[name_f]Elise[/name_f] I go back and forth with this one. Part of my loves it, and part of me sees it as dated. If I had had a daughter about 20 years ago, [name_f]Elise[/name_f] was on the short list. BUT I still think it has a pleasant sound.
[name_f]Zoe[/name_f] Despite its popularity, I have a really love for this name.
[name_f]Tahlia[/name_f] - I prefer [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f]
[name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] - Something about this appeals to me. It’s different, but sounds pretty!
[name_f]Isobel[/name_f] - This is my favorite spelling for the [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] names I like it
[name_f]Willow[/name_f] - My favorite from your list! So soft, gentle, and spunky.
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] - [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f].
Chrysanthe or Chrisanthy (which spelling?) - Nms
[name_f]Kira[/name_f] - Nms, but not bad
[name_f]Elise[/name_f] - Nms
[name_f]Zoe[/name_f] - I love [name_f]Zoe[/name_f]! Short and sweet.
My favorite ares [name_f]Willow[/name_f], [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], and [name_f]Zoe[/name_f]
